Does anyone know if there is a headunit that I can directly connect my IPOD to without an FM modulator? I hate the static and want a direct connection.

any thing with a audio line out should work,

the get headphone extentions and go for it.

pioner and alpine make some proper ones where you can skip folders ant tracks and stuff on the head unit, but i use the line out method and it works fine.

there are thigns that are a tape and a wire connected to it, you just need a tape player and put in the tape and it goes in your ear phone socket. works awesome for me

yea i dont know about over the ocean but down here newer cars (anything like 7 years or newer) dont have tape players. so that may not work.

sort of, youre gonna need to get a $40-60 adapter that goes through the back of your head unit and through your dash so then it goes directly to your head unit using the auxilary setting, i had to do this with my car

Fuck that... I found an auxilary cable for 4 bucks to plug in the back of my deck for my mp3 player. it works great.
