i've only had mine six monthes and its dead the batery is screwed.

Dont over night charge because when it is fully charged and still pulgged in to the mains it eats away at the battery life.

but it's on garantee so you can return it and they are gonna repair it for free

Yeah, mine did the same after about a year, so I gave it back to the store and it couldn't be fixed so they gave me a new iPod Nano with twice the gigabites as my mini - thank you very much!

Just dono't charge it unless the battery is near empty, and dont leave it on ccharge for too long after its fully charged

If it's not on warranty you can buy a new battery and put it in yourself for less than 40$ and the new battery will last twice as long as the original ever did.

thing is, they don't have first gen mini batteries anywhere, so i couldn't get one for anything cheap.
