well im getting my ipod tomorrow and i was just curious about a few things...first what is the batterylife like in the cold and the hold button like stops the use of the click wheel right so it can sense anything in your pocket and change the volume on you...and second uploading and deleting songs do you need itunes? or cna you use windows media player and does itunes work with win98 thanks for the help in advance.

well, in the inside pocket of my jacket, it will play all day and the whole 2 hour car ride there and back.

idk if itunes will work on win 98. you computer must suck, so that must suck.

if you can figure it out, you might be able to get away with not using itunes to put music on it, but it would be hard. there is a bunch of folder that it stores music on there,a nd i dont know the ryme or reason to it.

yeah windows 98 blows but my comp deffinatly dosent suck i take real good care of it and its runs real well my friend said i could use his free windows xp cd so i could have xp so i think i should be fine

 
what i meant was that it is probably fairly slow jsut beucase of how fast newer computers are.

ay you may have to install that win xp cd. if you dont mind doing things that are not legal, there are even ways you can get it so that you can still do a windows update and stuff like that.

If not, use Musicmatch. Or you can use EphPod 2, Anapod Explorer or YamiPod. I like YamiPod the best aside from iTunes. Not sure which ones work with win98, but there is other software out there.

Get Windows 98 second editon if your comp sucks and then you can put i tunes onto that shit I think.......

yeah i can use the touch wheel when i have my mittens on i just use my thumb and i figured out a way to get songs on with windows 98 and such i just made a post about it i think its called 'ipod windwos 98'
