Ipod help

so i have my 3rd gen ipod touch plugged into the computer right now. it has the little battery bar that shows its charging and everything but it wont show up in itunes. it wont even show up as a removable hard drive thing. anyone had this problem cause its really starting to piss me off. help is appreciated.

try unplugging it from your comp first.
then hold down the menu and power buttons till it does the manual shut off and reboots itself.
then plug it in again and see if the comp "finds" it.
