i was putting a couple songs onto my ipod and then an upload popup came up. i uploaded the ipod and and took out the usb. wen i went into the list of my songs the songs were gone, and i plugged the ipod back into the computer and all of the songs i had were still on the ipod whenver i clicked on "my music" on the ipod through itunes but i dont know why the songs arent showing up on the actual ipod. has this ever happened to anyone? is there a way i can get all the songs to show up on the ipod again?

you could always just get angry and start hitting it against stuff...

not sure how that would help though, but hey, its an idea...

lol the way you described that was really confusing but i think the same thing happened to me if i read that right. None of my songs would update, make sure that in your options update automatically or whatever is checked off. If that isnt the problem i remember i highlighted all the songs that i was trying to get on there then unchecked them (little check mark next to songs) then i just checked them back and plugged the i pod back in and it updated see if that works, i think same thing that happened to me i just think its one of those gay little i pod/ i tunes that happens occasionally lol

i have a 30 gig ipod video. i really dont want to restore it because i only have about 50 songs in my library since i got my computer restarted a few weeks ago so i dont nkow what to do

I had that same problem! I tried dragging all my songs onto my ipod, opening them up from the folder and everything. I finally restored it and after 3 hours, my headphone jack was broken and it only played through one ear (not just my headphones i tried on multiple pairs). So no I wait 3 weeks to see if Apple will fix it or send me a new one.
