I was on a sports related trip to boston in late october, and had my bag under a truck for the majority of the first day, with my ipod inside(30 gig video).... it rained and somehow some water got under and into my bag. I tried to turn my ipod on later, but it wouldnt go on, so I thought it had just run out of batteries. When I plugged it into my speakers, it turned on, and all looked well.... untill I took it out again... when I do take it out, the screen fades, and turns off. RIght now its plugged into my computer, and all the screen is doing is saying very low battery.....

Should I send it into apple and pay the fee to get it replaced? (how much)

Or should I cut my losses and get a new one... if so, which one???

i personally would get it fixed, or try and fix it myself, but if you really dont need 30gb get a nano, i think there better for like skiing and skating and stuff

it depends how much money you have, and how much music you have. does it still say low battery after its been plugged in? its true nano's or shuffles are way sick for skiing and skating and everything else, and because they're flash they're virtually indestructable. if it were mine and it was still broken i'd replace it with the new ipod classic! but i still rock a nano on the ski hill.

this wouldnt be for skiing... last march break I saved up for a while to get one of the tiny shuffles... its just for chills.... plane rides... carrides....school, an any other time...

what are you talking about?shuffles are the best for skiing. There so light you cant feel them and there so small that its impossible to break them.plus there only like 80 bucks so there not a big investment.

what are YOU talking about...he already has one.

try and get it fixed, it would be worth it to try rather than droppin cash on a new one
