Ipod help?

im trying to put LSS on my ipod, but i have to convert it from a VOB file to AVI, mpeg4, etc... ive searched around, and downloaded free trials and all, but they wont let me cnovert the whole thing. anyone know a free program that will convert dvds to ipod compatible formats?
 
PSP video 9 or if they made a new version. i know it's for a PSP but they both run MPEG4. i've used it for full videos and it works great
 
well then... i feel dumb. i googled DVD ripper, and about 10 sites came up for exactly what i was looking for
 
You can download the .net framework from microsoft if you search around on their website

and nomen; I am running os10 i haven't tried handbrake on windows
