I was waiting at the bus stop this morning listening to tunes when suddenly the music stopped. I looked at the ipod, it said it was playing but the timer wasnt changing and nothing was actually playing. It froze completely, plugging it into the wall and to the computer doesnt do anything and it wont reset.

Any ideas? I really dont want to have to buy another ipod within a year...

toggled hold, select plus menu (reset for 4G) doesnt do anything. It doesnt even say its on hold when i flip the switch...the screen never changes

bring it too ur local apple store or whereever u bought it, if it doesnt work within like 2 days bring it bac and thell probably give u a new one

i'm just going to wait till the bitch runs outta juive then see what it does (if its charges)

if it does brake take it back to the apple store there usually really nice about that type of stuff

yeha mine did that...but i just left it and came back recharged it and eveyrthing worked out. my super old 15gig 3rd gen from 2003 is still running perfect though....i'm amazed.

^ yea dude, my 20 GB, 3rd gen still works great, but the battery doesnt last that long (which is completely understandable seeing as ive had it for like 4 years)

ive had this same thing happen, ive just had to wait for the battery to wear down and then once you recharge it, it will work again

when mine started acting up, they just gave me a brand new one after like two days, so yea, just take it back to the store you got it at, actually, any apple store

I had that all the time with my Creative Zen Micro and the only way to cure it was to take the battery out and put it back in, im not sure if its that easy with the iPod though...

I had that happen twice...once when i first got it and a second timeafter about 2 and a half years. The first time all i did was wait for the battery to die, the second time it wasnt so easy...a sad face with the apple support page came up. i didnt touch it for like two months and it magically worked after dropping it pretty hard on the ground.

I don't have an Ipod but when mine freezes i hold down the shut-down button and wait for it to turn off....then i turn it back on and listen to my tunes happily
