Ipod freeze

Every once in a while when my ipod turns on this screen comes up.

nothing will cure it except letting the battery die and then sync it with my comp. It happened when it was formatted for PC and still happens now that i reformatted it for Mac. Does this happen to anyone else? BTW it is a 30 gig video.
 
hey thanks. anyway periodically this happens to my ipod when i turn it on, the only remedy is to let the battery die and charge it again
