So what exactly makes the click wheel sound (assunimng you haven't turned it off) on your iPod? it does it even when there are no headphones plugged in. There can't be speakers inside, can there? Someone please enlighten me.

ive wondered this for so long. and howcome sometimes the click is in the headphones and others its coming outta the ipod?

tiny little speak that can probably only produce that sound, just like all laptops and computers motherboards have a little speaker on them that beeps

So a tiny speaker, eh? Thats kind of disappointing, but thanks for the info. I was hoping it would be something more badass.

if there are MAD TINY SPEAKERS or any speakers at all wouldnt they be able to play the music aswell??? seeing as they can play the clicky sound throught the headphones??? jw

^ are you three serious?? think about it, a click is one sound, one pitch, one frequency, music tons of changes in those things, thats like asking why can't the alarm on my watch play a song instead of beeping.

^^^ although u may have a point, its different becasue i doubt your watch holds up to thousands of sdongs and has such vast technology

haha dude it doesn't matter what the speaker is connected to, it could be connected to a billion dollar satellite, its still going to have the same function of producing a click or a beep.
