Ipod advice

I have an ipod mini, the 4 gig and its way too small to hold anything. and itunes pisses me off on so many different levels. I was wondering if its worth it to:

a) Go for a different mp3

b) Sell it, and go for a bigger one

c) how do you change it so you can still plug in to other peoples computers and not have it erase your stuff?

Any ideas would be awesome. Thanks

Oh yeah, and i figured i'd just put it out therethat skiing in rain sucks so much. Eastern PA got about 2 inches last night, and i was skiing in puddles. no good

option b ftw.

but for c, just plug your ipod into their comp. it will ask you if you want to erase songs from it and put their library on it say no. then hit manually update songs or something like that.

winamp is just like itunes but theres no music to buy. basically it just plays music on your computer, it has nothing to do with ipods or mp3 players.

just shell out the cash for an 8gb nano and avoid getting a big ipod classic thats like 60 or 120 gb. those things break soooooo easily, and if u ski with it, it'll give out for sure.

i ditched itunes and got winamp. its so much easier and you can snag music from everyone else wahoo.

thanks for the help

i would go for option B. im thinking about doing that too, i currently have a nano 4g (i thnk 4) but i dont have alot of money now so... yea

i hated both as well, but i recently broke down and bough an ipod touch and i can honestly say i feel like they have made strides in the right direction. you can basically do anything to your ipod and then fix it by pressing two buttons, no more sending it back for 2 weeks because one little thing happend. its awesome, so if you have the cash, go for it, also, i jailbroke it, so now i have like super nintendo games on it and all kinds of tools and everything, i use it so much. but if you really want to go away from apple, go zune.

itunes and i didnt get along at all. For some reason i couldnt figure out how to just click and drag my music. but to tell you the truth i never really played around with it that much. I got winamp and i was able to plug in other people's ipods into my computer and take their music and add it to my library. You can see whats on your ipod and blah. way easier for me

Completely wrong. I have winamp. Never installed itunes on my computer and have had 2 ipods. I fucking hate itunes and I love winamp.

i hate the fact that you've gotta play the .m4a game, apple is all about exclusiveness

where's my freedom to take music off my ipod and put it on another computer? (you can but good luck finding one particular song)

If the codex gets corrupted, and you haven't bought all your music through itunes, you're SOL, i've had my ipod crash and had to try and save my library several times, but defiantly lost a lot of good music in the process.

i want a portable hard drive to hold my music, where things can come and go as they please, not a music prison where shit is on lock down.

to allow you to nab friends music off their itunes, just turn off auto-sync, and manually manage play lists

to save your ipod music to your PC, turn hidden folders on then look at the ipod from my computer, brows around in the data folders until you find all the YSXV MYUS WESE MCYE ect. files, this is what itunes renames your music. You can put everything in a folder, then upload the files to winamp or itunes library to know what they are.

If you hate iTunes (as I do) then go with a creative and get a napster subscription...$15 a month for unlimited song dloads and they are all top quality unlike limewire where you could dload a song named what you want but it isn't actually that song then you gotta waste the time to find that song again and dload it again...
