how is the iphone? i have been hearing from somepeople that it is amazing and others are saying its not worth the money we pay......
 
i would like to know how easy it is to use the touchscreen keyboard. i dont like the idea, how long does it take to get used to? i like the idea of combining a pda with ipod.

honestly, the things it comes with is not all that cool. i dont think it even has a camera... there are tons of other phones that are way sicker than that for cheaper. i think the concept of it is cool, but its just too flashy and doesnt have the essential things it should have.
 
I find it to be really cool. There are some things its it missing but not a camera. It has one of those. I am thinking of getting one especially now that they are going to be supporting 3rd party apps from a SDK in Febuary. I does lack some important things but firmware updates can fix that. It is a bunch of dough but you will use it for a long time unless it is stolen, which is a worry of mine.
 
What sicker phones can you get for cheaper?

Whats awesome about is that it works just like its supposed to. The web browser is awesome. It KILLS any other mobile web browser thats available. The multi touch screen kills every other touch screen too. The soft keyboard is much better than I expected and with a little practice I could get used to it. The price is decent. If you were going to buy an iPod and a phone you'd be spending at least 400 to get all the features on the iPhone.
 
Personally hate it. The touchscreen works really well though if that's what you want to know, even through a protective screen.
 
Iphone 2 is coming out for Christmas. BUT....the new LG is ten times better. Also, the HTC tilt it was better.

That is true, shit I never thought of that. Also I am not "public" as far as ATT, Apple yes. I work for att.
 
overpriced and stupid IMO. until they work out the bugs and lower the price, AND release their contract with AT&T for the exclusive distribution rights it's fucking lame.
 
I think that the touchscreen keyboard isn't too hard to get used to. It can be frustrating at first though. Although I do hate their commercials. "I'm a flight attendant and our flight was delayed 3 hours, I used the iPhone to check the weather and it was clear so in 30 minutes we were in the air". Stupid stuff like that. I mean, it's not like the iPhone is the ONLY phone that is internet compatible.
