Iphone, AT&T and Verizon

The other day, in a freak instance of horrible luck, I was driving with my windows opened when a random pot hole caused my car to jolt and toss my phone out of the window. It hit the road and was immediately run over by a mack truck. Im looking into cancelling my verizon plan early to buy an Iphone on the family plan, but the only problem is that my GF has Verizon. She is probably the only person I call. Does it jack up her bill if an ATT user calls/texts her? Is there any way around this, other than getting a droid with VZ service?

Check out her plan. If she has minutes, the plan usually is free for in network calls, and minutes are used for out of network.

I didn't know if there was a policy about texts and minutes...like 1 text=a certain amount of minutes. Sarcasm noted.

I don't care if it doesn't charge me, I don't want it to charge her.

If she has a texting plan, then you're covered. Minutes would be the only thing you're using of her's.

sorry the oppurtunity was too great to pass up. the wway verizon does there texting plan it is free for verizon to verizon texts but you buy an amount of texts for verizon to non verizon phones. if you dont want it to cost as much for your gf you can get the new droid incredible i dont know when it comes out but it looks better than the iphone. sorry for improper english.

minutes are minutes and texts are texts. they are independent of each other from a billing standpoint.
she'll probably lose the advantage of free mobile to mobile if you go with at&t. depending on the time of day that you guys usually talk, this may or may not be an issue.
