Iphone 6 September 9

I'm not buying, but only because I got an 5 last summer and it's working fine. When my contract is up or something happens to this phone, I'll get another iPhone.

This actually looks pretty nice..that being said. My next phone will probably be a samsung/lg.

If apple allowed downloading music/torrents like android does, i would buy this. I know that this could probably be achieved through jailbreaking the phone but I don't want to go through that trouble if i could go out and buy a phone that can already do that.

Idk, maybe when my contract is up i'll pull the trigger on the 6. It looks like a solid phone, but the lg g3 and the s5 active look more appealing to me right now.

this just popped up on my facebook.

I'm not going to argue which is better. Because that's all opinion and you won't listen anyways.

But rooting an android gives you so much more options to "tweak," compared to a jail broken iPhone.

I agree that its all opinion, but I'm also down to listen too. I'm not a total apple fanboy, I just think that right now ios is more convenient.

And although Android might have more options to tweak, ios is definitely a more stable operating system and isn't as glitchy even when hacked

I showed this to my apple fan boy co-worker and he said "they forgot one thing: One runs iOS, one runs Android" hahah

Haha yeah for real. Technology isn't black and white anyway, the GUI is the most important part of a phone today in my opinion. It comes down to personal preference of OS and that's all...any smart phone on the market is fully equipped to do what 90% of people need them for.

In my 10 years of working in a tech-based trade, I've learned that the best way to weed out inexperienced people is to see how seriously they pay attention to specs on paper.

As a basic principle of engineering, a design's specs or features are only as good as their implementation.

I've found that a lot of non-Apple products have better specs and features on paper, but their implementation is so half baked that they aren't much use - the function of the phone in a real world setting is not transparent. Some people want the most features and highest specs packed into a device no matter how horribly they're implemented. I'd rather have a product that doesn't implement a feature unless its performance is completely smooth. If it's not so functional that you don't even realize you're using it, don't fucking bother. But that's a matter of preference.

iPhone ruined my post. Ironic.

I don't understand the people who take time to make these. Why the fuck would anyone care what phones people used?

That's consumer culture for you. We derive validation and identity from brand affiliation, and so when someone talks shit about a brand we feel personally attached to, we take it as a personal insult.

I know, it's insane.

^materialism is fucking crazy

That it is. And to renounce it is considered an extremist point of view in American culture.

If enough people play a game, it's no longer a game.

so is this phone worth it or not? im getting a new one at the end of the month and im sick of having zero battery life, memory, and a shitty phone camera. any suggestions?

If you want memory you're gonna have to shell out for a 32gb one, or an android phone with an sd card slot would work too.

There is no 32gb. It goes right to 64, then 128
