IPhone 4 troubles

I haven't heard anyone else have this problem, so I figure i might as well ask the people of NS. So, I've had my iPhone for a while now and a few months ago i started to have problems with the charging. Every night I plug it in to charge, and turn it off. When I turn it on in the morning, It's anywhere from 85 to 100 (rarely). this creates problems because it runs out of battery much too early. Then when I try to keep charging it, it takes hours to make up those last few percent. Take last night: I put it in to charge at 93 and when I turn it on this morning... it's at 93...

Any help is appreciated.

Either the plug ist working but dude close your apps and stuff too, but the cord is probably disconnected or somehow not working

is it actually charging? like is your charger fucked up? with my droid my charger is slightly bent so unless I have it just right it doesn't charge.

I'm thinking it might be the phone. because If I charge it during the day, when it's on, it can get all the way up to 100 faster. I use other chargers, and it's the same thing.

Any time, only problem I've had with my iPhone is when I was trying to take a photo for instagram driving 55 on a backroad And I had it plugged into my audio, next thing I know I bump the cord and the phone ejects out of my hand and out the window, long story short I just got a new back glass lucky the front wasnt damaged at all

Close apps and reset the phone? > hold home and sleep button simultaneously for ten seconds

Galaxy S3. fuck iphone. and u seemed to be butthurt about your rep or smt going to shit thanks to that skiierman thread. wait i'll bump it up so you can read it

has your phone been damaged by water or gotten some sand it in or something? i have had problems with 3 seperate i phones, i mean mostly my fault except for one but theyve gotten minor water damage or something (2 of them) and charging capabilities seem to decrease. i have to switch up the chargers i use because after a month or so of using a charger it will no longer work. either way good luck to you

the fact that your apps are open is not the problem, Iphones charge to 80% in 2 hours I think and then it's another 2 hours for 80 to 100, you said you turned the phone off? have you tried leaving it on? try the following:use a different charging cable

if that doesn't work use a different power source, as it's quite possible the power is just too low coming from your source.

That happened to me for maybe 3 days in a row. then all the sudden it just stopped.. no idea why or how I fixed it. But it stopped...

Good luck that most likely was no help to you.

oh that's good info. Yeah I'll try a different outlet or my comp. I don't really want to keep it on for so long... keep smartphones on that long creates problems

how does it? I keep mine on constantly, literally never turn it off unless it runs out of battery.

oh... I just remember when I got my first phone (an android) the salesman told me not to keep it on for long periods of time. and boy if I did, it sure got fucked up. Well, that phone sucked, so why would I think that would carry over to iPhones? I'll try that.

Thanks everyone!

how high is your brightness? if your brightness is high that will kill battery life. not sure about the charging problem though
