.I want to bail on verizon and get the iphone 3g. I heard they were having some problems with the network when it first came out (slow internet, calls dropped) Have they fixed this problem? Also anyone know of a good way to get out of my 2 year contract w/ verizon other then paying the 175 early termination fee? I just want the iphone so bad and can't see myself using the vouyager for basically the same monthly price another year and a half so I figure why not

Umm yeah its a contract you can't really break it. I think you have to pay the termination fee. A ton of my friends have the Iphone, they love it and no real issues. I think you are set on that end.

I heard somewhere that some cellphone companies pick up the termination fee if you sign up with them for a while. Might just be my imagination though?

Do it!

I ditched verizon a few months ago and haven't looked back. My iPhone works almost flawlessly in northern california. 3G everywhere and i think i've had 3 dropped calls. Im not sure the best way to get out of your contract though. I've heard about a couple of websites that offer ways to trade your contract with someone else. That could be worth checking out.

Verizon can suck my cock! I know a bunch of people who have an iPhone and love it. I have AT&T and it is so awesome! By far gets service in the most places.

the reception is good everywhere except for my house. WTF I live on top of a big ass hill in teh middle of a city, and the reception is hella wierd. sometimes its good, sometimes it doesnt work.its att.t

Hey
I love my iPhone, I have nothing bad to say about it.
One thing because the screen is heat sensitive if it gets to cold the phone screen doesn't work so there for you can't use you phone, until it warms up. I went skiing today and my phone worked fine all day so I don't know what to tell you!

I dropped my contract with Verizon to get an iPhone. I love it and definitely would not go back. If you want your termination fee to be a little cheaper, ask them to prorate it for the amount of months that you have left before your plan is up!

Yeah I am definitely going to drop Verizon too. Their service is awful around where I live and go to school, I am so sick of it... Also iphones are fucking sick and have sick games and such...

nicee i cant wait, i found out how to get a new iphone for free by taking over someone elses att contract from this website, and if my b.s. doesnt work i can likely get outta my contract for nothing more then including my phone to someone looking to pick up my contract. im psyched thanks guys + K

ps- i was just researching on cnet and I read so many bad reviews aboutta dropped calls, battery, buggs, whats up with that?

this for people with the iphone i am on att and i wanna upgrade my phone from the blackjack to the iphone i am able to because my contract is up but all i am really going to be doing with the iphone is calls, texts, and i pod use is it really worth it....

My dad just recently got an iPhone from his work...so far he's had 2 dropped calls and sometimes when the internet is being used it just quits, or turns weird colors. Other then that happening a few times, it's a sick phone, no reason not to get one.

alot of the call problems are in large citys with a massive amount of data being handled at once. i live in so cal, and i work for the company that makes the 3g technology (data cards, motion sensors, and multi touch screen) the network has trouble when the phone switches from edge (2g) to 3g. most the problems are fixed and the reports are few and far between. but there is a chance your area isnt up to speed with good coverage.

talk to at&t before u switch, ask them how good the coverage is, and what the network population is (lot or little iphone users)

otherwise shea son go for that shyt, my dad got one and loves it, had some call issues but he got a patch from my work, and just boosted the signal strength. its not fcc legal but they aren't gonna do shittt

my iphone just got stolen haha, but what im tryna say is that i didnt realize HOW MUCH i actually used it until i didnt have it anymore. best phone out there, the apps are the sickest thing about it. I had so many apps for so many different things. sick phone no doubt.

Just wait until next year when the new Nvidia phones are released. they are going to poop all over the iPhone.
