apple's selling the new iphone for $199, but u can still buy the iphone 3G for $99. is the new one worth $100?
 
Its only software differences right? if so just jail break the old one for the same results, new one for status I guess

 
if i ever replaced my blackberry with an iphone i'd only get 32gb, why not have an ipod that can actually hold shit as well as a phone instead of having both, there shouldn't be a need to have an ipod and an iphone like so many people do
 
I'm just going to call you out on this. Why?I have had an iPhone for over 2 years, and I love it. Shoot, why do they suck, and please do not say, "Because it is Apple"
 
na dude i have a iphone and a mac i would never get a windows, the part that sucks is how much a month i have to pay for it like 80+ a month.

at&t is the most bullshit provider ever. why the fuck do they not allow MMS or tethering? the MMS is basically the selling point of the fucking 3Gs, or even a 3g with the new software.
 
Obviously in the US MMS isn't the selling point of the phone if it isn't usable. The selling point of the 3GS is SPEED and video capture. But AT&T has stated that they are making network improvements so as to make sure the feature works before they activate it. Imagine the weight of 8 million iPhone owners suddenly sending huge photos and videos across the network. It would literally bring it down. So while AT&T should have been ready for MMS on the iPhone a long time ago, it's a good thing they're making sure it works before they activate the feature. In the meantime, it's still possible to send photos to other phones via the Mail app FOR FREE (AT&T is 5555555555@mms.att.net, Verizon is 5555555555@vzwpix.com)!

Tethering, however, is a completely different story.
 
you can get FREE phones from AT&T that can send video and picture messages. practically every other phone on AT&Ts network can send picture and video. they just like blocking features and collecting your money.
The speed improvement is barely noticeable. and the compass? if you bought a new 3Gs, you bought it because it had a better camera, that would allow you to take video, which you could share with your fucking friends. AT&T doesn't allow you to do that, because they are cheap. end of story.
oh, and if I am paying every month for unlimited MMS, there is no way in hell I am going to put up with sending pictures to an email address nobody checks.
 
i was really close to getting one today. but its 375 in canada with no data. and i dont have that kind of cash.
