IPad 3

My mom just got the iPad 2. And she and people like her are the only ones with use for an iPad. Similarly people in her position will not benefit from these upgrades. This is a useless product
 
haters gon hate. i just want one to keep in an otter box next to my toilet so i can shit/shower while web browsing.

id also jailbreak it, mount that shit in my car and use it for my audio system, id also throw on some n64 and snes and use the wii remote app to use a wii controller to play super mario/mario kart 64 on it.

i think my dad might be getting one i could have. friggin rights.
 
It's not a useless product, but it is certainly arguable that it is a useless upgrade. Just like the iPhone 4S. Unless you have a surplus of cash (nobody does, everyone owes the banks just about), there's no reason to UPGRADE. For people that plan to get an iPad, and currently do not own one, fantastic, it's even better, but still the same product.
 
I keep all my school books, lecture slides, notes etc.. on my iPad. It has taken the place of my day planner. I use iTeleport for remote access to my desktop (damn near OSX on iPad). I must be just like your mom and people like her, right?

Such a stupid fucking argument.

Tablets are by no means a necessity, but they are crazy useful tools if you have the expendable income. My iPad has taken over 80% of my computing needs, and I consider myself a heavy computer user. The only thing I use my laptop for anymore is for design/editing work and writing essays.
 
I love shitting with my iPad. Maybe I'll get a waterproof case for it so I can take it in the shower or the hot tub!! Yeah!!

Yeah like, let's hate on something that sells like fucking hot cakes. Maybe Apple should back out of the tablet market, hey? The hate's just typical ns jealousy, I mean it's so obvious to see as kids try to pretend that they don't actually want one, and go to endless justification about it. I won't lie though, at Xmas I was like (in my head), fuck why an iPad? I wish my parents got me something more useful but after I toyed with it for 20 minutes I was like YES best parents in the universe when before I only thought they were the best on earth...pfffff.

I wonder how much effect Steve Job's absence is gonna have for the company. Probably not much, so long as the next guy doesn't change much and fuck it up.
 
Just a quick question. Doesn't the ipad browse the web in mobile. So in certain sites you wont be able to take advantage of certain features. My mom has one and she has the ski hill on facebook as well and i was telling her about a video on there and she couldn't see it on her ipad but it was clearly visible on my laptop. Does she just need to download or change something or is that just how it works cause it it does then thats the most exensive 1970's style cellphone that doesn't call i've ever seen
 
It sucks sometimes regarding videos and fuckin FLASH for god sakes maybe now that Jobs is gone they can swallow their pride, grow a pair, and enable flash player more, no offense to Steve. There is a half-decent app browser called SKYFIRE that works. Not great, it's not a clear perfect interface, but it will bring up most flash videos that you want.
 
Any Apple product is pretty solid, a bit overpriced, but hey people buy em, and I will be getting a macbook for college, finna love having Final Cut Pro.

I have an iPhone, and I have a MacBook Pro, so I don't see the point in getting something in between.

On the bright side, hopefully my virtual apple stock will go up.
 
It's a waste of money in my opinion. If you wan't a tablet, don't spend so much on an ipad..

Get a BlackBerry Playbook, it's half the price... With the new OS 2.0, it's very impressive!

what phones did you see with big responsive touch screens and almost no buttons before the iphone? none, and the only "tablets" around really were thos shitty windows laptops with the swivel screen. The modern tablet market today is around thanks largely to the ipad, and anyone that says otherwise is fucking stupid. Every product that comes out seems to be pegged as an "iphone killer" or "ipad killer", how many do you see called a "samsung galaxy killer"?
