IPad 2

my dad owns a verizon store, so the verizon corporation made him buy an ipad to have in his store. its cool i guess i dont really know everything it can do
 
Once again, apple proves to the world that you can make and create anything you want that has literally no use and you can make shit loads of money and get it hyped like crazy.
 
no use to you. They wouldn't be able to sell millions of them if they had no use. Like i said in a previous apple thread, the only people who hate on apple products are those who have never used them or can't afford them.
 
Yup. Its because I'm not rich or I have enough money to buy a supersized ipod touch. Exactly why I don't like them. Maybe because I like to spend my money on things that have some sort of fundamental usage like a computer for instance.

Yeah, You can watch movies and listen to music on an ipad. I'm sure its a good thing for entertainment purposes, but since they "claim" its like a laptop, can it send and recieve files like music and pictures? Can it download programs that aren't apps? What about edit movies/pictures/other multimedia things?
 
I was real let down by the IPad 2, the most useful feature they could have added was a usb port. Second thing i would have like to have seen was a barometer/altimeter for accurate elevation estimates to supplement the GPS. As a geologist this would have been an awesome feature. Id have an accurate GPS for the field, where I could store geologic maps and view satellite images.
So what they made it thinner. The only real improvement is processor speed and whats the use in that when you didn't really add any new capabilities. They should have worked for another few months and made a better more capable product. The world didn't need this IPad.
