Iowa Skiers: Please Read!

Hey guys, I am a skier from Ohio and will unfortunately be in the soutwest corner of Wisconsin/ Northwest corner of Iowa for All next week. Are there any ski resorts within an hour? Besides Sundown and if you go there please PM or reply to the thread. I need to know if you are open or will be open at Sundown. + karma for help also.Thanks!
 
Hey man, I'm originally from Northeast Iowa but am going to the University of Cincinnati and hitting up Perfect North this year. I won't be back in Iowa this week, but I'll give you some advice. Sundown isn't too bad, if they are open, that's your best bet. Otherwise, whatever you do, don't go to Mt. Lacrosse. Their park is terrible, if you even want to call it a park. Hope this helps.
 
alpine valley in east troy wisconsin is open. that would be the next closest best hill i would think. you could try that. good luck!
 
if sundown isnt open on friday, chestnut will be. there's probably a very good chance i will be going on friday. pm me if you need any more details
 
Hey Reed, sorry about the PM. Sundown is def opening friday. One of my buddies friends mom works there and told us. Idk how great it will be, sundown only had a rail up last year for opening weekend.
 
its on their website now, opening at 10 AM. word on the street says that there is going to be a 20 foot jump too. should be fun.
