Ios 7 for free and easy

I've got 6.1.4 on my iPhone 5. How do I go about getting ios7 beta 4 on my device? Any help is appreciated.

so what i just did is downloaded the ios 7 beta 4 firmware. then you attach your phone via usb to your computer, and alt+click on where it says "update software" or something. It's the button to the left of "restore" on the sync page. then you select the ios 7 beta 4 file and you get the new ios. it was easy as that for me. no restore to "new phone" necessary.

im on an iphone 5. im running 6.1.4 and i wanna update to beta 4. If i decide i dont like it, can i switch back to 6.1.4?

Losing everything and your phone bricking out is the only risk really haha. It has been perfectly fine on my 5 and i just made sure to back everything up to my computer through itunes. Everyone else's experience in this thread seems to have gone about as smoothly, so i think youll be fine

Also the first major thing i notice about beta 5 is that the settings menu has gone full color instead of blue/white. Plus something about the keyboard nice and refined and polished. Still hoping for more dynamic backgrounds though

"bricking" your iphone doesnt happen anymore. the biggest issue i ever encountered installing the beta was having to put my phone into recovery mode and having to start over again. if i remember correctly, apple is no longer legally allowed to turn your phone into a $600 paperweight because you try to jailbreak/install software other than what they provide you.

anyone feel free to correct me, but i believe your worst case scenario is install it incorrectly, be asked to register your udid, put your phone into recovery mode (hold home + lock till it restarts, keep holding, plug your phone into your computer, wait until recovery mode screen pops up) and either restore back to ios6 and give up, or go back and retry installing ios7

really thinkin about upgrading to ios 7 beta 5 from 6.1.4 on my iPhone 5. I'm not really the most tech savy person but that shit looks sick. I have a MacBook Pro. can anyone give me a sparknotes version of how to do it and what I need to do in order to not have my phone stop workin on me (bricking my phone or going into recovery mode. also is it hard to go back to 6.1.4 if I don't like it?

There are some small bugs I've noticed, texts don't come thru as notifications sometimes, twitter home buttons are iffy, battery life can be fine or horrible, that's really all.

i got an activation error after selection language, location and wifi settings, anyone know what to do except/after resetting it?

Anyone have a working link for beta 5 on iphone 4 gsm? I can't put my phone into DFU mode if that means anything.

- my second home page has the app images of my first page, but when i click them they open the second page apps that are supposed to be there. - the apps are taking a while to load, in the mean time im seeing this:

anyone else having problems?

i've been having some issues with the messages app crashing immediately when trying to open it

im on a 4s

Also on a 4s, haven't had any problems except instagram crashing seconds after opening it. Fixed that by updating the app.

ummmmm i think my phone is bricked. I pulled it out of my pocket earlier today and there was nothing on the screen at all. can't hard restart to get anything to show up on the screen at all. i've plugged it into my computer and a wall charger and i'm not getting anything.

HELP?

4s keeps restarting itself. It's happened at least 3 times today, I'm considering switching back to iOS6 just to avoid a crash and dealing with DFU

I've been loving beta 5 on my iphone 5, significantly less buggy and overall smoother animations than beta 3. If anyone's hesitant about trying iOS 7 just go strait to beta 5, you'll love it

well, here's hoping beta 6 comes out relatively soon. this whole messages app crashing is a little annoying

I did but for some reason when I put it into recovery mode it immediately overwrote that backup with my blank phone. so I lost all my photos, a bunch of apps, and some contacts after going back to an old backup.

Is anyone out there on beta 5 having problems with calls? I can call someone just fine, and the other end can hear me, but whoever I call is extremely quiet on my end.

Shit... A popsicle dripped on my speaker the other day.

I was able to clear out the stuff that was externally covering the speaker, but I think I am going to have to live with a quiet speaker now. I'm fucking stupid.

it wont let me update OTA, not sure why, when I click update it just says all up to date, but I have not done an update since I got beta 3, as well as theres a little icon telling me to update

I forgot how short the days on Jupiter were.

with each update its gotten better. still some bugs but id say its worth it. my favorite feature is being able to edit pictures in photos. no editing app required.

Will I get in trouble if I go in to the apple store today with iOS 7? I need to get a phone replacement
