So in the "mother fucker called me miss" thread the topic of what people claiming inventions (and a thread on this topic) arose

so does anyone have experience with people who claim this, or does anyone belive/did invent anything cool themselves?

my mom claims she invented nylon running shorts for a marathon in boston, i just play along but don't really believe her

yeah, my moms dad was a crazy guy, he claimed he invented all sorts of stuff (cell phones....)

But my old shop teacher DID invent a diesel(sp) engine that could run on french fry oil.

my brother claims he was the first one to where an hunters orange hat at my mountain (not true)

but some kid claimed he invented a cure for cancer but wont tell anyone, but the same kid got in trouble for biting someone haha

My dad knew a guitarist that claimed dave grohl stole one of his songs

he met a chick at a bar and he took her to his car to play some songs for her that he wrote, he had them on a cassette

the next day he couldnt find the cassette and a few months later the foo fighters released learn to fly. and I gotta say the song does sound a lot like his style.
