I was just wondering on what skis to get for next season i've never had a true park ski and want to have a soft skinny ski to mess around on in the park when there's no powder to be found.

Specs:
-Age:14 yrs old
-Height: 5'11
-Weight:150 lbs
-Skill level: beginner/intermediate park (3's over 30 ft jumps), basic rail/box grinds 270 out(nothing too fancy, Advanced all mountain riding, advanced powder riding.
-Location: Central Idaho (soft snow avg. 300-400 inches a year)

Skis:
-2008 Line invader 178cm
-2008 K2 fujative 179cm
-Mount center to 2 back (center on invaders obviously)

for when theres no powder? invaders hands down. id say they are the bast park specific ski out there. if you want more of a one ski quiver, get the kung fujas.

you're really tall for your age, and if you're looking for straight up park and messing around def invaders

i loved my fujas... they were fuckin sick and so playful in and out of the park

but it sounds like you want anthems

do u know how long a centimeter is ?????? like about the distance from the first ? to the last ?

haha good comparison. but yea, he really doesnt need "the longer of the two" im 6'2" and ride 178 anthems, hes 5'11", i really dont think he needs to worry about getting more length.

chill
k2 measures longer, so a 179 fuji is like a 182 or 183 or so

and im pretty sure line measures a little short, so like 178 would be around a 176. not 100% on that one though i read it a while ago.

which ones are more durable?

cuz iv heard that invaders break after a season and fujatives last a few seasons.

I also relized i could be using these for all moutain also. like 1-4 inches of new snow and buttering off cattracks and such. alot of you will prob suggest anthems because of the added width but i dont want to pay +$100 for 1cm of width. if i dont bring my powder skis with me or i end up not even getting any due to not having 700 dollars after buying these i want these to be fun still

invaders kick bottom in the park!! the fijatives are king of sketch. if it were me it would be no question: invaders

all right ^

well i ski at bogus and brundage and you ski bogus and tammy

have you ever ridden invaders? you have probably seen me i suck.

they are both at get boards for 250 and thats like the only place with 178 invaders and 179 fujis

are they legit iv heard they were sketchy

don't forget about K2's new symmetrical park ski, the disorderly...but i don't know if anyone has skied it yet

haven't skied them but i emailed k2 and asked about it. i asked about its stiffness compared to the fuji or the silencer

Hi Bryden,
The Disorderly is designed to outperform the Silencer and Fujative. Itis engineered with carbon stringers for additional stiffness (thinkhigher pop on the ollies) and an ABS sidewall (for increased edge feeland control), rather than the cap construction. It will definitelyoffer higher performance in the park/pipe than the Silencer andFujative.

sounds sick, i'm pretty sure im gonna get these before next season. only like $360 right now too

ive heard that but i have also heard that for some, not all they like get fucked up mad easy and their warranty isnt great, but i have heard they are good skis.i had some fugatives, they chip mad easy but they are a really fun ski and might hold up better in the air idk about rails

alright thanks but if i get invaders im gunna get em off getboards because they have 178's for 250 and no where else has 178's for cheaper or at all.

I had the first versions of the Invaders and i blew the edge out at the end of the season and had no problem with my warranty. I just took them to the shop i got them at, they sent them back and i got next years skis before the next season started.

im going 60%invader 40%fuji

the fujis are so nice but more people like invaders

are people just saying that because "Line is for all the cool kids right now" or have you actually ridden both?

i'v riden fujis for like two runs and i liked them alot more than my foils. seemed buttery smooth and balanced. (mounted at center) the only thing about center mount is the diferent tip and tail dimentions. i think the 08 fujis have carbon stringers "carbon ollie band" and medium stiffness tip, then soft, then stiff underfoot, then soft, then med. stiff tail so "Butter zones pretty much. correct me if im wrong

never riden invaders though.

i LOVE my fujatives

ive ridden invaders and anthems aswell and i liked the fujatives and anthems much better than the invaders.

Fujatives were my favorite though.

im actually either getting anthems or dumonts. can you reply to my thread and say your opinions on what i should get

i have both invaders and fujatives..im 5'4" 130lbs, intermediate all mountain, about the same park skills as you plus a few more things.

171 INVADERS (center mount)- Really fun ski they have good pop to them and it is a soft ski, but not as soft as i thought they would be. They can deffinitly hold thier own out of the park. Topsheet gets damage easy, but it doesnt effect the ski so it doesnt matter much.

169 Fujatives (core center mount)- I can decide if i like this more than my invaders or not. They are deffinily equal if not more fun. The tips of the fujatives are way softer (IMO, it could be becasue i did a full season of nose butters on them) and they have a stiffer tail. So you get good pop off them. These skis are very fun on jumps/rails and they still rip anywhere out of the park, they get ate up a little in peanut buttery snow. This ski is a wider than the invader.

*Cliff notes: Fujative= bomb for park and all mountain. Invaders= great ski for park and still hold their own out of the park, but fujatives can do a little better out of the park.

thanks mando you think anthems would be comparative to fujatives
because of the added width?
because those are now on the list for only 50$ more

I rode 178 anthems this year and they were fun as hell, granted i only rode them 1 run. I think the added width would make if pretty equal to the fujative, even though the fujative will still have a stiffer tail..
