i really want rockereds but i only got the invaders... but do you think i should give it a shot? i ride 100% park unless theres a powder day.... then its 100% pow obviously... i live in reno/tahoe area so i get pow a lot.

no, they are so skinny that the rocker would so nothing for you in the powder and it's going to fuck your ski up and make them suck in the park too.

Just get reno rockers or the melee

i am have a pair of melees for sale right now

i think its do-able. on one of my invaders my tail is completly rockered. it kinda just happened by water getting in and warping but its pretty sick now since i have one half rockered ski.

Not really, after this season im going to rocker my rossignol scratch sprayer FS's, but then again I will have 2 park skis and a pow ski.

Its probably not the best thing to do with your only ski, its something to try with an older ski that you dont really need or care too much about.

wow, someone give this kid a lesson...i agree with lyndon i have some old scratch BCs that i am going to try to rocker sometime this season or near the end of the season...

most people clamp down the middle underfoot, then wedge the tips and tails with wood blocks for how much rocker they want, then blast them with a heat gun or other heat source for like a million hours until they are formed. what its doing is actually remelting the epoxy and resin and such and then drying and curing in a new shape. im going to try it one of these days with and old pair of BCs i have lying around...

Yeah so with that method do you ever move the blocks, or do you just leave them in one place and run the heat gun up and down the ski? When you do it, you should take hella pics and document the whole event.

i think your deffinatly a trend whore if you use hellbents or ep pros in park, but if its narrower its basically just a really soft ski, which some people may like in the park. apparantly its not much different on rails, and if you can stomp jumps pretty well they shouldnt be too different on jumps...

I would wonder if a stiff rockered ski would allow for better charging through variable conditions but still allow buttering.

Just a thought.

But rockering your only skis doesn't seem a great idea.

so, because i use hellbents in the park i am a trend whore? even if they are my only ski? even if i ski baker? and sometimes go to grouse for little night sessions, and im a trend whore then. but theyre my only ski and i cant afford another pair right now. but a park ski would be nice.

anyone know if the 03 B.Cs' (think there 03, black/orange ones) have a metal sheet in em? ive got a core shot and it looks like theres metal in em. but im for sure gonna try and rocker em once im done with em. thats if i dont get some rockered skis before, there seems to be a lot of them poppin up

The only reason to rocker your park skis would be if you keep getting too much pop and fly out of the ozone, then I guess it would be ok. But other than that every other reason is dumb. You can't control the skis on the snow, you can't get any pop off jumps, and theres no support on landings. I have Hellbents, and Pipe Cleaners. Pretty much opposite skis, Hellbents are rockered, Pipe Cleaners have insane amounts of camber. Pipe Cleaners get a shit load of pop ollieing, poping off jumps, popping out of butters, pretty much better in every way. The only reason I like the Heellbent's rocker is because it makes it easier to keep your tips up in powder. They suck in the park. Rockered skis doesn't make butters easier! Ass! that's getting annoying. You need to be able to POP out of butters so you can do 3s and 5s and shit. Not just have floppy skis so you can get on the noses......then lay the tails down and go switch out....

Park skiing is about popping. Keep your skis the way they're made.

i rockered my old stl's and it was the most fun ive had in the park. i didnt hit any jumps over like 45ft. but landing wasnt bad, if you landed way backseat you would probably wash out, but it wasnt bad at all. taking off switch was amazing, you could totally fuck up and spin really early and my tips would never catch. and for rails and butters it was even more amazing, you could do nose butters onto rails and boxes so easily, and you could do like nose butter 270 on to a big tail press through the whole thing. and off smaller rails you could land in a tail butter and do sweet tail butter 180's out and shit.
i had more fun on them than ive ever had with any other ski, i doubt rockered will take over, but it definatly is gonna have its place in the park.

wow rockered invaders or anthems would be my dream ski, if they come out with them next year im gonna get them for sure.
