Invaders NOT bombproof

After 12 hours of riding groomers (opening weekend, no park yet) the tails of my Invaders have delammed like crazy. I sent them back this morning, but just warning everyone that they aren't bombproof, nonetheless waterproof...
 
wow i need to now if jibij got there new shipment in recently...im ordering mine and i hope they dont delam
 
Just a warning to everybody: Don't believe everything you hear on the internet.

I have a pair of prototypes and mine are holding up fine so far.
 
I mean my skis are bomb, love them so much, but I'm just saying there's a spot on my tail where the plastic top sheet covering is coming up.
 
To be honest, it wouldn't even matter to me if mine started to delam because of Line's sick warranty. They'll just about replace anything.
 
your forgetting how big of a pain in teh ass warranty work is. do you want to be without skis for a month? this happened to me 2 years ago with my salomon 720's and i decided to just ski em because i would have ended my season bercause the warranty would take so long.
 
You're a fucking idiot. Care to pay the $29 shipping and take my bindings off for me everytime only to get them remounted for another $40?
 
someone mentioned it around here....but stick some rivets in the nose and tail if yours hasnt delammed yet...probably would look sick ass hell and it would help em last longer.

but after typing that i realize it would probably void the warrenty...
 
man, if you KNOW the shits gonna delam, why not rivet them as soon as you buy them...keeps them good and looks dope and is WAY cheaper than warrantying them n all the rest of those hassels.
 
How do you warranty? Just call up line and tell them you want to get them warrantied and then ship them?

look at ur name fool, trouble makers were fucked over sooooo much last season; Line has improved so much and are bomb proof now, they weren't in years past but now they are
 
and to put this thread to rest, WHY THE HELL DIDN'T U SEND THEM BACK CONSIDERING THEY HAD A RECALL!!!! if ur going to bitch about a ski that was expected to delam and you should have probably known about the recall, why the fuck would u ski them and then try and say these skis suck

There was a phony thread my freind made up on here a while back about Invaders delamming in the plastic and Jason chewed him out hardcore for it. The funny thing is we just got three pairs of 178 Invaders in our store and the topsheets of all three are coming appart on the sidewalls.

Literally delamming IN THE PLASTIC people. I hope they do better next year. It's so sad cuz they're hella fun to ski.

so my thread that just said this exact same thing i'm about to say got deleted so i i'll say it on hear

i absolutly love my invaders in my opionion they are the greatest ski ever i havent had any problems with them groomers, butters, park, ice there great
 
Oh yah they are fabulous skis, so fun to ride, I'm just saying mine had a problem and so did a few others, but like you there are a lot of others guys out there who have invaders and have no problems at all. Only problem is some people on here ignore your posts and blow up posts saying that certain skis are terrible and so on.
 
i have had my troublemakers for 2 years now and not a single problem, and people i ski with ride them and say that they wish they would have bought troublemakers instead. on the other hand i have seen lines delame at the tip, edges fall out, cores become soggy with water, and chronics split along the top sheet exposing the core after half a season and line said that the damage was from another ski. and now these invader, why would they even ship "prototype" skis to the dealers. maybe they should have spent time making the skiis snow proof instead of "bomb proof"
 
And I've seen people whose tm's fall apart after a day(and I mean really fall apart, ie. "delame at the tip, edges fall out, cores become soggy with water") and I've seen people like myself who had 02 1260's for 2 seasons and now my brother has them and they are still in great condition, and others who have bought line skis and still stand by them because they were a great ski and had no problems... any ski can be messed up, any ski and be bomb proof, sometimes its in the luck of the draw and sometimes its not.
 
$40? where do you get that from? jibij mounts for free.. if you buy your skis there.

Oh... and everyone I know with invaders haven't had a problem including me... it IS possible to get a bad pair... just warranty them and quit bitching.
 
You get what you pay for. And whoever suggested that Line would not suffer any loss of quality from moving to china, I think you are eating some serious words.
 
honestly so much hate, and probably some (not all) of you havent even rode line skis and you are saying they suck, well no matter what i read on newschoolers i will continue to support line even if a few skis go bad, because they have always had the best warranty and after what JLEV gave to "Sugarlofa" was very considering the circumstances. By the way my INVADERS are doing just fine after a few days of skiing
 
man, i bought a pair of USED pollards that were ridden all season, i remounted them n ride them so damn hard n theres no sign of anything going wrong or even close to it...if yoiu're gonna bitch about delamming n don't wanna warranty shit just RIVET THE TIPS!!!!
 
You stupid fuck, was there a recall in the last 2 weeks when I got them? No. You don't have the skis, so shut the fuck up. I went through Line and sent the skis back yesterday. Yeah, I'm glad they were cool about it, but in the end I'm still going to be $70 in the hole and without the skis for over a week.
 
hmm after about 4 days on them? give them about a week or so theyll be shit. ashley battersbys skis started to delam her second day. lines are not bombproof. seen way too many explode.
