hey. i was on my invaders and this is the 2nd day on the hill. first was all groomers and the second was all jumps no rails kus i fell adn didnt want to try nemore for the rest of the day for some reason, so.

i have this bubbly scratch thingy that i noticed on my ski and its kinda small but i think that if i keep riding it it may open up more. and get bigger and the topsheet will come off or sometin i dono. so what do you think i should do to fix it.

epoxy?

heat gun?

or some other thing?

and if i use epoxy will it effect the layer. my dad things its some kind of poly carbonite (i think thats what he said).

thats what i was thinking but the topsheet feels kinda plasticy and i dono but epoxy might have a reaction to it(says my dad)(he knows alot about epoxy, we built a wood boat.(uses epoxy))

How'd you manage to do that? I've been on my invaders for three days now and I have only a couple small nicks. Other than that, that sucks. Try epoxy.

thats wut happens when u bang ur skis together like a moron... just take a knife and cut it out and keep skiing its fucking cosmetic...

i know its kus i was trying my first 5 and i fell bad, i did a 450 to catch edge to faceplant. so i dono. it caught but theres liek a bubble.

It's not a bubble. It's from you smashing them together and the edge from the other ski chipped the topsheet of the other.

Cut that piece off so it doesn't spread and be done with it.

it looks like the same material as the topsheet on my assassin..they suck so much but ya i just epoxy my stuff up..nothing happened yet.

yeh thats what i'd reccommend too. Cut it off 1st and u may not even need epoxy. it looks purely cosmetic to me, not like its to the core.

If your gash is exposing the core you better seal that shit before you get water in there.

My chip is to the wood. I put duct tape on the top sides but it peeled off. So If it gets worse I am going to epoxy it.

I am more worried aboat the edges and base. I beat my edges and bases to shit.

shit im getting scared, i'm on those, and seeing all of this, i think maybe it has to do w/ the whole moving of the factory to china?

i would think so because not alot of people use their bindings, so like it would have to be able to warrenty with holes drilled

duuuuude it dosnt matter. ski on those until they break, like...literally. and theeeeeen send them back to line. why waste like 2 weeks of good skiing time for something cosmetic?

Thats similar to the damage i've seen on my friends invaders.

As far as advice, this is what I'd do. Cut it out with a razor like others have suggested, but instead of epoxy I'd use fiber glass. Epoxy I've used for crack, but for filling in voids in the tops of skis fiberglass I think is a better bet. Use a really fine fiberglass.

mine haven't done that yet but they just delamed after 6 days riding them. Not even all park 3 days park and three groomers. i better get a new pair from the warrenty.

same exact thing wiht mine i just exposyed them wiht clear epoxy then sanded it smooth and its good as new, mabye a little harder
