Invaders(171) vs. scratch fs wrs(167)

Height: 5' 9"

Weight: 165

Skier type: III

Location: CT

Type of skiing: 70% park, 30% groomers/trees/moguls

I like a softer ski generally. I want something that will kick ass in the park, but will be skiable out of the park. it wont be the ski i normally use out side of the park tho. I ride scratches right now and love them.

Is it worth it to buy both, try them both, and sell the ones i dint like as much?

why 174? thats taller than me... I dont understand why skis are getting longer and longer... when i started riding park, people we trying to get shorter and shorter skis....

if ur 5'9, 175 is either shorter than u or ur height. if ur doing any kind of real skiing at all, youll want the extra stability u get from extra length

i was just holding 170's today and they were at my forehead.

I understand that the longer skis give more stability, but i have a pair of 160's (not twins) and 167's (twins) and they are plenty stable... and i ski pretty hard.

doesnt the extra length make it more difficult to control the ski and slow down spins?

Wow 167 or 171 for 5'9" Get 174 ATLEAST if not 178, im 5'8" and i ride 180s and 178s, and WOW they are taller than me OMG!!!!

get the 174 scratches, cause they'll ride alot better than the invaders out of the park and will still be sick when your in the park.

i am 5'6" and had 180s last year cause they were free and now i have 172 because i wanted a short ski

scratches are a better over all ski great for slopstyle but the invader is better in the park but limited for all mountain skiing. the scratches are a wise choses if you want a ski that will look ill in the park and perform ill on the mountain.

yo get invaders, they're softer than the scratchs but they are awesome in the park, n there lighter than the fs too, but yee if u like a smaller ski, then get a smaller ski, its your prefrence

i dont get why you would need that much ski... i ride 160's for all mountain and rip them. i never feel the need for more ski. Im kinda tired of people telling me i need longer skis too.

and i'm looking mainly for a park ski because i have an older pair of scratches (naked lady ones), and a pair of rossi rpm's for just cruisin'.
