Invader Weight?

hi NS

Just wondering how the weight of the 07/08 171cm Invader compares with the 05/06 164cm Public Enemy. I am currently on the PE wondering if it is worth purchasing the Invader. I like the PE but it is a tad heavy and the Invader looks like a really sick ski with the butterzone, ollieband etc. I notice the Invader is a light ski but it is longer so does anybody know the weights of both skis?

i have this years invaders and i love them

nice, soft and light

id say they would be a bit lighter than the PE because the PE is meant for all mountain and the Invader is for park and in park you want a lighter ski

Apples to Oranges comparison.

PE's are an all-mountain twin that is heavy, damp and stiffer.

The Invader is a park-specific ski that is very soft, flexy and ultra-light.

Now don't get me wrong, the Invader can still kill it on groomers and is a lot of fun there, but it struggles and is a lot of work to ski in soft snow (mainly because of the centermount).

But yes, Invaders are incredibly light. I have a buddy with the grey Scratch FS in 174cm and my 178cm Invaders (with the same bindings) are much lighter.

You were doing great until you added that last line there, which is both false info, and presented in a dickhead manner.

Ski weight DOES matter. A heavier ski will have a much higher swing weight which will affect quick turns and spins, but will be much more stable and damp at higher speeds.

it's not that big of a deal, you see pep etc... spinning 9's on hellbent's.

it's even worse when people worry about binding weight, especially when it comes down to grams. yea it's at the center of the ski so it doesn't affect swing weight, but it's still not that big of a deal.

Binding weight is insignificant.

Saying "Pep spins 9's on 'Bents, so ski weight means nothing" is ignorant.

There's a reason Pep is a pro athlete.

super light.... i got them at 161 and they are almost as light as my chronic 133s from like 3 years ago.
