Invader Poll

Hahaha, yea. So I just got Invaders, and Scratch 200 bindings. Basically, it's two if the same ski. lol. So I got a little poll to make it interesting, how should I mount them?

a) Both with the little skull in the front

b) Both with that skull in the back

c) Left with the skull in the front, Right in the back

or

d) Right with skull in front, Left in the back.

lol, just a little fun before I have to make my final decision when my bindings get in.

cancel the binding order and get axial2's or look px's, its worth the extra cash. the scratch 200 binding has the axium heel and not quite as strong of a toe peice. they dont take kindly to releasing when landing switch, the heel peice gets all sorts of mangled.

I'd prolly want to know what skis which when I ski them for a while, but theyre exactly the same left and right, front and back.

a) the skulls look sweet to look at on the chair or one forwards one backwards oh wait their is no such thing!

just mark the toe piece of your bindings to show which is left or right, or mark the area where the bottom of your boot will be in the middle of the binding...

I ride mine one skull in the front and one in the back or both skulls in the back, never both in the front for me. I have reactors so its all gravy for me.

^duct tape... such a good idea. I bet its even safer than line bindings too. no worries of tearing your acl... or staying in your skis for that matter! woo!

I don't have the line bindings or freedom plate, just the Scratch 200 bindings. All I have is the decks, I just wanted to have a little poll. I'm thinkin Be different and go 2 skulls up front. haa.

Haha nice. Even though the skis are symmetrical is the skull supposed to be in the back since the writing in the skull is directed the way it is?

c and d are the same. just switch ur skis from different feet. but do one skull forward on the other ski do it on the back

INVADERS: Did/does anyone know if they are factory waxed for LINE mine dont appear and if they are i dont want to just waste wax so does anonw ith invaders know?

I dunno, I got mine hot waxed before delived by Getboards, they waxed them nicely, though it took an extra day or two to leave the shop.

Invaderman: haha, true, didn't even think of that. I'm a tool.

did they do that or did u have toask them? i looked at them and mine were in the plastic still, but looked like they had a little wax.

I would also like to know if I should wax my invaders or not before I ride them for the first time. Also, typically the pink skull on the Invaders is supposed to be at the back of the ski, correct? One more thing... when you get invaders centermounted with a non-line binding, should you not do anything to the four pre-drilled holes? I mean, will they rust if you dont fill them with some sort of wax or screw?

^no they don't need wax before you ride them for the first time. It doesn't matter which way you mount them... forwards or backwards whatever. YOu don't need to fill the line holes..

i am still trying to figure out the whole waxing things i may just call get boards/Line, about the mounting they are totally semetrical and dosent matter, but if u llok closely at them half of the graphics are going one way and haff are gonig another way but the sizeing written on the pink skull is facing toward the tip/tail (depending on way u have them mounted) so id think they are supposed to go in the back but mix ir up but one up and one down.

also Incarnate, the four holes mean nothing. They'll just sit there under your binding. You don't need to fill them in or whatever, just have the new bingins mounted at a shop.

And Its' ALWAYS best just to have a good hot wax or two before you go out for the first time, even if there is facctory wax.

Thank you. Also. Technically, how does a shop centermount a ski? What do they measure from and such? I have to make sure they dont fuck up the mounting.

You just tell them to center mount it. There's a mark on the Invaders which gives it the exact point where it is perfectly symetrical. If you put ur finger under the point, u can balance the ski. If they don't know where the center is, don't let them mount it.

Funny, you might have gotten the meal deal from Getboards?
