Invader mounting point

ok i know there are a million threads on this but i read them all and no one talked about this so.. im getting my invaders mounted and i told the guy i wanted them exact center mounted and he said the mounting point is 2mm back but it wont make much difference either way. is he right? sorry i know its a dumb question

Mount true center. You can mount one forward, and one backwards. I did that.

And you know, you stole my icon. Every time I see one of your posts, I think I said something, but I didn't.

Thanks for confusing me.

But it doesn't matter much.

symmetrical skis ski better when mounted as much as 1 or 2 cm back. so that may be why its suggested at 2mm.. but seriously 2mm is nothing. just go with the shop to prevent further confusion.

no the mounting point is dead center. on mine the only marking poin they put on the ski was a goldline that said midsole beside it and it was dead center. pretty much self explanetory

i just had my 08 invaders mounted and he did them dead center, said thats how they are supposed to be. dont know if thats accurate or not :/

^^^ even if its true they perform better a little off true. Lines entire marketing is based off the fact they are 100% true center.

MOUNT 100% CENTER, thats what line wants

so if in fact they do perform better slightly off center can it be adjusted to compensate, or are we stuck??

some of you are right but most of you are wrong. yes, on a symmetrical ski you would think you would mount dead true center. if you turn one ski of a pair of invaders or anthems upside down, and put them together, you will see that recommended(where is skis best) is not true center, it is in fact set back a small amount. this compensates for forward lean when you are skiing switch or regular.

ok so i assume that alot of the time people think they have exact center mount but really its slightly set back? k thanx

so i have the 08 invaders and mounted them one green forward and one pink forward, mounting position were exact same. I THINK thats what you were trying to say, and i dont think the factory intended them to be mounted how i mounted them. see pic

invader mouting point is dead center. if he says they're 2mm back well he didnt measure them right, and he prolly wouldnt notice 2mm anyway. u can mount the invaders either green or pink forward, it doesnt matter, its the invader mini's that need to have the green forward(sizes 123,133,143)

haha, wow, thanks. I didn't really expect you to actually change it, but cool. That's a nice icon too.

And the lines that say where to mount are EXACTLY in the center, not 2 mms off. I happen to have talked to the local line rep, (who coincidentally worked in a ski shop) and he mounted my invaders dead center.

That's where they're meant to be mounted.

Well they are symmetrical so I'd have to say about -5,-6 ish depending on how much powder you plan on skiing with them

yeah they are the deadbolts. when i took them in to get mounted the guy said "oh the old nordica bindings, cool" bout pissed meself! would have gone with look if i knew 4frnt just bought the rigths, the instruction manual that comes with them sais "ViTO" on the bindings, assuming foreign, assuming it's origin long before nordica or 4frnt. :( good bindings i'm sure but i think if you did some research you could find some purple ones for half the price and spray paint them then buy a new coat or something.

Bingo. The line is a little back of centre. So if you're having them mounted one forward/one back or both backwards, measure and mark them yourself.
