Introducing Video on Instagram from Instagram on Vimeo.

Kind of cool I guess, but I mean, theres already vine.
 
Wow. This is going to be absolutely horendous. I've never had, seen or 'done' instagram but I can only imagine what 'creative' way 15 y/o girls are going to use this feature...
 
Whaaa!! plus you can add filters to your video!!!!1!!1 Thats like instant color correction to make them look soo siiiick.

and i was just starting to like vine too......kinda
 
I mean, its not a bad thing... I dont use vine, but I do use instagram, so this is kind of a good thing i guess.
 
I used to love instagram, I can look at see some pretty amazing photos. Now I have to be bothered by shitty videos. Thats why I go on vine... jeeze.
 
Facebook did the same thing with snapchat when they created poke (the photo version). since facebook owns instagram they just copied vine and added it. i don't think its gonna turn out great.
 
despite the fact that it's a copy of vine, the instagram interface is so much fucking cleaner, plus most people have had well over a year to find a bunch of people to follow. it's hard as fuck finding new/funny vine people because of the little time it's been out. instagram has a head start in that aspect.
 
I've found it's a little hard to spot the videos on my feed, it's only a little play button in the corner
 
Not a fan. Leave the photo based apps, photo based. Instagram has done so well with their community as a whole, they don't need to do anything more other than keep improving the app as it is. I hope they get rid of the video function.
 
I was thinking today that I wish there was a switch where you could toggle between photo/video/both. Most of the videos I've seen so far are absolute shit and I really don't want to see them right now.

That reminds me, I got a happy meal today and need to make a video of my playing with the racecar toy it came with. Spoiler: there will be sound effects.
 
You could downgrade to the previous version, I'm on it atm(I have Instagram but its just to check out other people's photos) and there's no videos on it.
 
but instagram isn't instagram anymore, it's god damn facebook. they're all about money, not making a genuinely cool app. I'm just waiting for a better photo sharing app, instagram is on it's way down.
 
Not shure if this is a good move.. I like instagram, but I only follow people who make nice or creative pictures.. If people post stupid anoying videos instead of show the world in a cool way just unfollow?
 
Instagram was definitely my favorite social network, and the only one I used petty much. I can only hope my newsfeed doesn't consist of 10 second videos of pets now.
 
Shit sucks on second thought. It's so slow for me and the videos never load at all, let alone do I want to watch these stupid little videos when I actually want to look at cool pictures on IG.
 
Instagram did 5 million videos in the first 24 hours. Vine does 1 million videos a day average.

Vine has 13 million users and instagram has 130 million unique users a month.

Wow.

Obviously there are a lot of variables like trying out a new feature but wow, that's astonishing.
 
They should get rid of the autoplay thing. If I stop scrolling and there's a video all the way on the screen, it starts playing. If I want to watch, I'll click on my own. It's not like an option or something is it?
 
i was wary at first, but i like it a lot now. my whole feed has been skiing (i love steve's videos), skating, and longboarding. im looking forward to the winter to see all the cool videos you guys post
 
Newest instagram update allows you to upload videos from your camera roll.

Snowboarder mag has made a new insta account exclusively for video.
 
Yeah this is pretty sweet, thankfully there's also not been a huge bomb of videos too.
