Introducing Boone Skis

cant complain about the graphics.. actually you could argue that the girl thing is getting plaid.. i dont mind a good conservative graphic..

Boone skis are sick. the all bamboo core is poppy as hell. I tested these skis a lot before they were made and they held up way better than my armadas. one of the best skis i have ever ridden.

its exactly like the J.O. pros...but worse and not as swedish-ly awesome

boone is cool and I kinda wanted to touche the skis when he showed them to me.

I'd do a lot more tips-tail grabs with these skis for sure.

From their website:

"Technology

Shred anything, anywhere, from the park to the pow.

Super Lightweight Sandwich Construction Technology:

Layer 1: High Density PBT with Ultra Print Graphics.

Layer 2: Triaxial fiberglass

Layer 3: vertical laminated woodcore – eco-friendly bamboo for extra pop!

Layer 4: triaxial fiberglass

Layer 4.1 Top Secret

Layer 5: 360 wrap steel edge with Rockwell 48 edges

Layer 6. Extruded/Sintered P-Tex 4400

Layer 7. Epoxy Resin"

Soooo....the resin is below the ptex. That is one way to prevent coreshots.

Haha... do they really only have two skis pretty much? one powder, one park, each in two sizes. 3 different graphics to choose from.

Look pretty good but I do think its kinda weird that they really only have 2 skis but advertising 3. How long have they been around?

1. Look like a mix between next years amplids and JO pros

2. 4 yeard creation on Microsoft paint

3.This years Fujatives with the blac/grey graphic on tip/tail

props though for starting a new company and i like the optio of picking a waist size

I know this is a users forum - so we will do our best to abstain from bias and just answer some of the questions. By the way, Thanks for the good word Cedric. (p)

Boone is not trying to be misleading about the 2 ski shapes with the three graphic designs. We are just trying to take a new approach. You can pick a wider 93mm waist park ski or a more traditional 82mm waist park ski. The latter of which is available in a 165 and 170 and is geared toward our smaller riders. So in a nutshell, first pick your waist, and then pick your graphic. Its that simple. We only wanted our customers the option to choose whichever ski shape and graphic they wanted. (p)

The JO's have one girl on them - these have two. Yes, they also have girls on our twins and superfreaks. Incidentally, our skis were designed and created prior to the launch of the JO's. So in this case it isn't a matter of copying their steeze - its just that we had similiar taste at the same time.

(p) If you have questions about our product, email us at booneskis@booneskis.com Thanks guys and check out a pair. The 100% bamboo core and sick graphics will impress!!! (p)

"The Sexiest Skis on the Planet!"

plans are in the works for a true backcountry powder ski - expected availability April '09 as an '10 model. However, the 93mm waist will definitely take care of 99% of your resort skiing needs!

Basically, there's really only two skis. A park ski and a powder ski. And for each, you can pick from a choice of 3 topsheets.

They would be fine on the east coast.. either the 82 or the 93 would work. 82 would be lighter and probably a little more edgy on hardpack though.

these skis are all mountain - do anything skis.. not specific to anything, but will do anything well, anywhere.

Yeah guys, these have nothing to do with the similar look of the JO Pros.....which came out way before these did......it is just...ummmm....a coincidence!

in JULY of last year? who the hell was skiing in July of last year.. i dont think any of the stores even would have had them bro...

Either way, who cares about the graphic.. everyones going to throw stickers on that shit anyway.

I'm stoked about boone.. personally. Those magic sticks are gnarly.

Ill probably get hate for this, but I can honestly say I dont like the graphics of these skis.. they just look like something I could do is paint in 20 minutes.. the Magic Sticks (? - the ones with the color bases) are the ones Im talking about in general.. Also I dont like the branding the Super freaks have..the bases needed to be changed.. but I do like the bases on the top sheets, just not the top sheets ( I dont like JOs pro model either)

...just my feedback on the appearance, never ridden the skis though..

ive been trying hard to break these skis to test em out. nothing has broken. the all bamboo core is super poppy and your bindings screws grip into hard. you will not have bindings ripping out. the top sheets are solid. i have had no problems with delam. if any one is up at mt. hood this summer you can find me in govy slangin' tall tees out of my jeep. talk to me and i will try and get you set up on a pair of the team skis to demo.
