Introduce yourself ladies!

I’m Kiersten, I’m 20, I am a UVM student and I’m from Long Island NY. I’ve been skiing for 12 years and I finally got my first pair of twin tips so I’m stoked

Hi ladies! My name is Sarah. I live in north New Jersey. I'm 31 and this is my 3rd season skiing. I started late February 2016. Last year I really got into skiing park and I love it. It's great to have a community of ladies who ski or board. Looking forward to chatting.

I'm 31 and I just started too and I often think the same thing. I feel like such an old lady some times haha

Hey there. I am 34 and just moved to SLC. I have a pass to Brighton/Solitude and Park city. Let me know if you want to ride together sometime. I am more on the freeride side of things, but I'm willing to hit most park jumps, and would probably be interested in learning some rails if I had a mentor, or at least someone to share failure with. I usually ski with my husband who is a snowboarder, but I can definitely ditch him for some runs.

Welcome girl! Any back country booster ambitions?

I don't have a touring setup or avy gear or training unfortunately. I have done some lift accessed sidecountry, but that's the closest I've gotten to backcountry. I've gone into hidden valley at Brighton a couple times, but this hasn't really been a great season for exploring. Usually I stick to inbounds and hunting for pow via bushwhacking and forging new traverses. Today was a pretty decent pow day though, hope you got some turns in.

Hi ! Its nice to see fellow ladies in their 30s here. So where I ski I feel like I'm the only grown woman that likes to go through the park. I get funny looks when I approach the entrance. Anyway my skiing style is carving and going Fast. I just started exploring the park the last couple months of the season. So I'm new to this style of skiing. I find I really like the jumps and worked up the courage(caffeine helps) to hit the medium sized ones on my last day of the season. Ive avoided boxes and rails since I need the right skis. It looks like fun and a great way to work on balance skills. I beleive I should be able to ride the whole mountain not just parts of it

Where are you located at? I'm happy to help anyone new to park, I still feel like a newb myself, even though I've logged some time in there. I agree about being able to ride the whole mountain. Plus it's nice to have some concrete goals once you're past being able to ride the rest of the mountain. I'm not sure you really need specific skis for rails, I ride my all mountain skis on boxes and tubes, but I can understand if you want to keep your skis in pristine shape. If you don't want to get weird looks just wear a face mask and a mens jacket. Feels real good when someone says "that dude rips" instead of being good "for a girl".

I'm in MN. Yeah I wanna have specific skis for the rails and such since I have a feeling I'm going to be rough on them. And the all mountain skis I have dont rise much in the tail so switch would probably go really bad on them. I do wear a facemask when it gets into the negative temperatures. My coat is actually a mens coat. I bet my pants are a giveaway . They're a girls pant thats too tight to freely move in...I am definitely buying new bigger roomier pants for next season....along with new boots, skis, etc

Hi, I'm Marieka, I am 15 years old and living in the Netherlands. It is impossible to ski (outdoor) here beacause we don't have any mountains, so I learned everything on holidays to Austria/Italy. I'm trying to ski as much as possible at the indoor parks, and just started with the basics off freestyle skiing.

What are indoor parks /ski areas like? Since its winter for like half the year here I never thought to search for such a thing

It is just a big and high building, and they made some slopes/parks in itm The snow is not like outside because it's all 'fake' snow,so it's different and sometimes there is a lot of ice, but the most of the time it is pretty good. Small ski areas are nice, but you can get a little bored because often there is just 1 jump and a few boxes (and ofc a normal slope) so I prefer the bigger ski areas, bc you can do more different things and most off the time they have multiple normal slopes, so you can basicaly do whatever you want. But it also depends on what you like 😊

Hey fam! I need a lady ski buddy :) my name is Jennifer and I live in Bend, Oregon. My home mountain is mount bachelor. Let’s shred if u find yourself around the area or you live in the area!

heyoooo everyone I’m Shea and I’m from the east coast!!! It’s my 1st year skiing park with okemo freestyle!!! Skiing is my heart and passion and I’m on NS instead of studying right now! Need some more girl skiing friends!

There is for sure a lack of good chick shredders in Bend Oregon. I’m not saying I’m fantastic or anything, but the amount of girls I ski with vs guys is def smaller. I haven’t found someone yet :( I need my shreddy-lady-soulmate.

Heyoo! I’m Abi I’m 20, randomly from Texas my home mountain is Red River, NM. I can confidently say that I am one of the better skiers at my mountain and one of the best for sure as far as ladies go at my home mountain... My addiction is skiing fast and almost running over people, ooooops. Moving to SLC next season, but am hoping I can make it work in kicking horse instead

Hi I’m Chelise, 20 years old and I’m from Utah. I somehow ended up moving to Grand Cayman until march but I’m in desperate need of some girl friends to hit up the park with when I get back so please hit my line! I’ve skied all my life but only got into park a couple years ago so I’m still fairly new.

I’m Hannah and I live in Denver, CO. I’m relatively new to skiing but I fucking love it and I’m getting better by going out with my super talented friends so hopefully I’ll see some of y’all out there next year. ??

Andy be totally thankful of your snowboard friends. They still are there to support you and push you and make for a fun day.

I moved right before the season began so I spent this whole season skiing alone save for a couple days where there were events.

Hi I'm Paige, 19, from New Zealand. I've skied a few seasons but this is the first time I'm living near the mount. Started hitting the park this season and loving it :)

Hellooooo! Welcome to the partayyyy

hi everybody! i've been a member on NS for some time now but haven't gotten around to this thread for some reason. im alexandra, 19, from finland. i've been snooping around NS since 2015/16, bc that's when i got into freeskiing. i really like to ski park, but my knees seem to think otherwise. so i mostly stick to freeride. snowboarding's pretty fun too.

it's a shame that we all seem to live so far apart. looks like a lot of you are from the united states tho, if and when covid ends imma make my way there!!

if you are from finland or the nordics (or europe in general), lets be friends! most of my park skier gfs are snowboarders :^(
