Intro to hip hop

Agreed...I appoligize...your not a dumbass buddy. I just have strong feeling about the difference between rap and hip hop. SOrry
 
sad to say it but eminem...soon to be followed by 2pac and then i relized that eminem is shit, then i got into the underground stuff
 
Forgot about Dre -Dr. Dre and Eminem.

I heard it when I was 11 years old, and thought it was amazing. Then I started listening to the Chronic 2001 and went from there.
 
the chronic is so much better than 2001. no disrespect to 2001, thats jsut how much i like the chronic

it wasn't really a song but the whole album it was quasimoto and the guy at the skatepark used to play it and it was the dankest shit i have ever heard

at that time i hated rap so i don't know why i liked it
 
Heiroglyphics got me into underground. But I started listening to hip hop in general when I heard Eminem and Dre "Forgot About Dre"
 
I like how you asked "What song got you into HIP-HOP," and half the people are saying Eminem and Nelly and "my humps". That stuff is not only RAP, but its awful (all rap is). That's the kind of music I cannot stand, and I HATE it when people call it hip-hop.
 
definately swollen members. i thought there were some swollen songs in some of the old ski movies? i can't remember, but this was most definately late 90's
 
first- the horror by RJD2, but i dont know if you count that as hip hop. then i got really into dj shadow, maybe you still dont concider that hip hop? next i got into a lot of sage francis, atmosphere (slug), and aesop rock. aesop rock is the shit.
 
my friend left a camron cd at my house about 5 years ago and I didnt really like it, but it got me interested
