Intervalometer/exposure question.

So, I have a little question...

I want to be able to expose my camera for longer than the thirty seconds that my Canon 60D allows. My intervalometer (made by a company called Pixel) has an exposure setting, that i can set for as long as I want virtually, but I have no clue how to make it override the canon's sensor setting. Anyone have a clue about what I'm talking about? +K for helpful answers.

Do you have to have it in bulb mode to use those things?

I feel stupid asking this, but i know my camera pretty well and I have yet to find a bulb mode... Does the 60d have it?

Its not really a mode, its a shutter setting. Put your camera on manual and just roll the shutter past 30sec and it should go to bulb, thats how it works with nikon, not sure about cannon tho.

Actually many Canon models work that way when they're on the manual setting.

This is the top of your camera.

The "B" on the dial on the left stands for "bulb"....
