they found the mass graves of iraq and all the people they have killed. it was estimated at over 300,000 people. for all you people that say bush kills innocent people in iraq, he doesn't he kills iraqi soldiers, and rebels. compare the number of civilian casualties from the iraqi government of there own people, to how many soldiers we killed. all you tree hugging faggots who say we shouldn't have been there and we shouldn't have even been involved in the situation, feel dumb. this is almost resembling the holocaust, in which you also say that the whole holocaust was faked and it was just propoganda, now you can especially feel dumb.

 
why is it that when anyones a pro war fact they have to try and make an insult on hippies or tree huggers. granted sadamm had to get out of there but what most people try to get at is not that the war was bad but how the U.S handled it. look at it now bush had no post war plans and is sucking billions of dollars out of our already depleating ecconomy.

Just think what the 300,000 could have easily turned into if the US didn't go to war. Someone talked about this being similar to the holocaust, it easily could have been millions if someone didn't take action and do something about it. For those of you who are against the war, think about if this was happening on US soil. Would you want some other country to intervene or would you rather have to live in fear of domestic genocide.

As for the economy and what Bush did for it. Bush didn't solely make the economy magicly improve like it has this last quarter. He created programs, committies, and departments to help get the economy back on track.

People blame a lot of stuff on Bush but seriously how much affect can one man have on 220 million people. It's not so much his personal contributions as much as it is Congress approving and passing bills to get the US back on it's feet and prosper in the future.

the war needed to happen, but it did not need to happen in the way that it did, very not very well th9ought out, and unorganized, no post war plans, and if there were, they were thrown together in a short time sapn. the economy may have gone up wuite a bit, but it isnt near where it was 20 years ago, it just went up from the bombhole we are in

ok, time for me to chime in. i thought that i was the only conservetive on this site... bravo! but seriously, everything you guys say about propaganda, how its completley not true, and for all we know the media is keeping the war alive, SHUT THE FUCK UP. its true that we probably dont get the straight facts 1/2 the time, but even then, the news isnt that far distorted. im sad to say that all these liberals are a result of middle class liberal parents, weened on CNN and MSNBC. ane person said that there are too many political threads on here. is that really bad? all you CNN'ers are finally seeing another side of politics, something that absolutley ANYONE can benifit from.

ive said it before and i'll say it again, going into iraq was the right choice. it sucks that we spent so much money, and lost so many troops, but remember, the troops volenteered. if it was a draft you could go ahead and bitch about all these casualties, but no. there was no draft (if you didnt notice) and they all knew full well about the dangers.

i would like to adress the moral problem. it is my opinion that we need to get new fresh faces in, and indefinatly remove troops over there. i really feel sorry for the guys that have been there since july or earlier. if theres one thing that needs to be done in this (post)war, it is to fix morale.

next, i think that while the initial war was 'right', we need different post war procedures. instead of the US playing the part of policemen, we need to rebuild the government, which was the whole point of this operation. dont even say it was about the oil.

and for those who doooooo say it was about the oil, look at this interesting fact; we have oil rigs in the pacific getting enough oil for our country (which liberals hate). we are sitting on top of one of if not the largest oil reserve in the world: alaska. we could drill there and be set forever (which liberals hate 'oh no! you'll kill a squirrel!!!') and then we have iraq (which i dont belive is meant to be an oil supply. we could drill there, but guess what? liberals would hate that too! so i ask you, any liberal out here... where should we drill?

good point ^^ and also id like to add, that the purpose for this war was to get saddam outta the throne(for lack of better words) we all know what he was doing to his own people. killing women and children in fron of men to make them join the army. and liberals always say just leave him alone and he'll leave us alone, and don't worry about it. well the whole situation is a lose lose. either we go in get rid of saddam, re-instate the government, to allow them to build back up and still have a country with a safe enviroment to live in (which has never happened in any country in the middle east). then when nothing big happens and no one gets hurt because he is gone people will say look see, nothing happened its just a big joke. or we just leave him alone and let him do what he wants and then all of a sudden when he does something that will deeply effect everyone in the world, people will say what the hell was the government thinking?? they knew about this and they should have stopped it. Kind of like september 11th, when all the liberals blamed george bush for not doing anything. for just letting things happen. well then you get all kinds of pissed off when we try and do something about it.

And when people talk about the decisions our government is making, they say wee ll george bush this and george bush that. Have you realized that the president has not all the say. he basicly has little say and his job isn't to make all the decisions. he is just the head figure in the government, which has evolved into a tiny position because congress and the house of reps have all the say so don't even try to say that everything is one mans fault. it is a series of decisions made by many people including yourself.

first off your making a huge generalization about liberals. not every liberal wants to drill nowhere so we don't 'kill a squirrel.'

most liberals are well aware of the fact that oil drilling is innate to our country. of course we can't drill in white space and hurt nothing. but we can help things. initially, bush planned to drill in portions of alaska where there were thousands of untouched forests - independent ecosystems not yet explored. this would damage the area. since then...

bush has moved the oil drilling location to a different part of alaska. the tundra. and now i am going to agree with bush. by drilling in the tundra where very small amounts of organism populations are we hurt virtually nothign. and at the same time we provide jobs and an economic boost to local indian tribes. don't jump up about that either - the indians are actually imploring the idea. they would have more money to build better houses and better schools and modernize their town. so tahts a plus.

a shining gem in bush's string of economic ignorances.

Its almost midnight and i have stubled upon this thread, having not bothered to read many of the posts (i have tried, i cant really see the screen) ill give some of my opinion. Pretty far up in the post, several people mentioned Bush being an stupid, or in someway mentally handicapped. He isnt, say what you will but you arent going to set foot in the whitehouse being a retard. And on the war in Iraq, i agree with earlier posters in saying that the soldiers stationed there are volunteers, If they were part of a draft (something that still has some relevence, ask not what your country can do for you) i could see it differently. On people who believe that we are taking too many casualties in Iraq, more people died in a day during WW2 than all during Iraq so far. Although im not sure of the exact number, i believe that there have been around 400 deaths so far (correct me if im wrong). The media and many liberals(i hate the term, it is too confining, but it must do) feel that this is too many, but if we were to just pull out, and leave Iraq to the Iraqies well, lets just say that history has shown us that this is not the approach to take when you wish to create a viable nation sometime in the near future. But cant we give control of the reconstruction of Iraq to the UN? No, they dont want it, whatever they say about wanting it, well, even if they do, where are they going to get the troops to keep the peace? Not france, not russia, not germany. Where will they get them? From us, America. If we give up control of the interim governance of Iraq to the UN, we will still have troops and money tied up in Iraq, but we will have no control over them.

I am not sure if i have answered all of the issues involved in this thread, infact it being late, im sure that i didnt, and what i did answer is most likely garbled at best, but take from it what you will, and feel free to flame, because everyone needs a viewpoint. But do us all a favor and give some reasons, thanks

americans glorify war. they make it seem like going to war is the greatest thing. and truthfully i thinking dying for your government is a bunch of fucking shit. but thats irrelevant for what i have to say. People dont realize how terrible war actually is. they see it in the movies and it looks like a good time shooting a bunch of bad guys just like in video games. and then when they get there they go crazy from everything they have to witness. yes they volunteer, but they have no idea what they are getting themselves into and most people regret going to war, becuase they see other HUMAN BEINGS both allies and enemies being killed. and it really doesnt matter who it is you see being killed, becuase its still gunna have an affect on you.
