Description: Looking for experienced/trained coach. Or someone willing to take their level 1 freestyle or level 1 CSIA instructor course.
Mission: Fernie Freestyle Ski Team is in need of a third coach. We've got more kids on the team this year, and to ease the workload of the other two coaches (myself and one other) we need another. Someone willing to shred with kids aged Nine to fifteen. These kids are not snot nosed bowling ball head shaped kids, but top shredlets from Fernie and Calgary area. They are not looking to learn how to ski. We are grooming them for Big Air, Pipe, Slopestyle, bumps, big mountain, and basically just how to fuckin send it.
Pay is good, same as a ski hill instructor, but trips to competitions are paid for, aswell as your level 1 course/avalanche awareness course, and its rewarding as hell to ski with these kids and watch them rip. Its hard work, mostly because the kids just want to send it all day, so a full days skiing pow, sending cliffs, working on rails, and schralping bumps will hurt by the end of the day.
Travelling to comps means hanging out with the kids at the start gate, or watching them at the bottom and offering advice to help them for their next run. You will get to ski at comps, but unfortunately there is a lot of standing around during the day, but at night time, where ever we are, there is usually a good party scene.
Work days are Saturday and possibly Sunday depending on what the kids want to do. There are competition skiers and non-comp skiers on the team. Comp and Non-Comp skiers will be Saturday, and Comp-skiers only on Sunday. Typically two coaches will rip together with the team all day, but we will split up lots to take some kids thru the bumps, to train rails and jumps, and on pow days there is none of that other silly shit, we'll shred pow all day. With three coaches we will possibly alternate groups every weekend. There is lots of flexibility in work days. If you are travelling for yourself, or just cant come in because you were wasted the night before it doesn't matter because their will be two other coaches.

It's laid back, we are looking for someone responsible, someone willing to be somewhat of a role model, good shredder, and pretty much most of all someone fun, naw mean?

If your interested contact me - via NS messaging, or email at brogilvie0@hotmail.com
My name : Benjamin Rex Ogilvie - Facebook that shit if your really interested.

how exactly do you intend on teaching kids how to ride "big air, halfpipe, and slopestyle" when you (nor anyone close to you) don't have any of the mentioned?
Maybe this is something you should bring up when talking to your RCR boss man.

Whoa whoa whoa. I forgot to mention, there is no affiliation wit RCR other than the fact that we ski out of fernie, and they own it.
Kids all live in Calgary and trek out there on weekends. they ski at COP on weekdays and train with COP coaches. I spose those were bad word choices "we teach them big air, hp, yadee yaddee yadda" they train during the weeks and for comp weekends coaches act as - well wouldn't you know it - coaches...
I welcome all your hatred you can aim at my name, but really its just an advertisement for a paying job. Your not an instructor with the mountain, you do not wear instructor suits. Just trying to get a third coach is all. Not saying it isn't worth it. 1 maybe 2 days a week. On the weekend so its a busy day, you can ski all week.
I don't work for RCR.

No, combination of my not putting enough info in a thread and pre season angriness. you dont want a job coaching do you?
