what do you guys think of having a comp were there are girls and boys in the same division? or would that be to unfair????
 
makes no sense whatsoever. Men and women are at completely different levels in the sport.
 
def segregated. Guys are at uch a higher level than girls. There aren't any competitions that are integrated in any other sport. They just can't compete with guys for the most part. Maybe later down the line, but not right now.
 
how bout u dont let girls or guys in. you can just host your own little comp urself, and compete against your self to see if you can do the best 180.
 
hmm.. well, you COULD put it this way, have a separate comp. for girls n guyz, then, have a final comp. w/ the winner of the girls comp, and the winner of the guys, comp go against each other. (i dunno, juss wondering)
 
This is my first post on NS. I saw the responses to this post and I had to respond. I hope I didn't waste my time registering because these posts are pathetic.

What a disgraceful bunch of wannabes some of you are. Someone comes on here and asks a valid question and you denigrate him/her. That attitude is for snowboarding not skiing. There's nothing worse than poseurs that 1. Don't know what they are talking about and 2. can barely string together more than two words let alone write a complete sentence.

SD: First let's dispel the myth about girls. Up to a certain age, prior to puberty kicking in girls can perform as well as the boys. In fact some are better.

For your comp, It depends on what the comp is about. If it is for fun or a charity event then you should definitely have the girls take part and lump them in. It would sure make the scene a lot more fun. Let these guys who say "no" hang out with each other playing grab ass and pretending to be "gangstas" while you and your buddies are having fun in the park with girls who can rip.

If you want to actually have a strict comp you can still have it together and just give different prizes. You could also pair girls and boys up into teams.

The point is free skiing is about NOT conforming to rules. Mix it up and have fun.

Now I wonder if any of these geniuses can actually read.

You better be careful though because if you ever venture out from behind your keyboard and try your tough talk in the real world you'll likely have someone rip your head off and shit down your neck.
 
one more thing... next time, try to be creative when you cut someone down. how many times have we heard the "your mommy didn't love you/you can't get laid/i'd beat the shit out of you if you weren't hiding behind your keyboard" stuff? i'm more insulted by the fact that you couldn't come up with something original to throw at me than anything else.

That wasn't a very smart move of you, just for future reference. To get someones attention in a positive manner you don't right out call them pathetic and tell them they're are a bunch of disgraceful wannabes. Telling someone they cannot string a sentence together or read does not garner you much respect. Think it through next time, articulate your ideas with a calm demeanor, not one of attack.
 
From reading through this board it's pretty clear that a large percentage of the posters are either 12 or emotionally and mentally stunted to the capacity of a 12 year old. My post was perfectly appropriate considering that it followed a whole group of people slagging the thread starter for no reason.

The fact that another group of troglodytes jumped in doesn't surprise me or bother me.

You can't honestly say girls ski at the same level as men, it's nothing against girls, they just aren't at the same level at all. There's nothing worse than some random guy who comes on and tells guys like Matt Walker they don't know what they're talking about and insult everyones ability to speak english. Why don't you hop back into your one piece and 300cm straight skis and get your ass out of here.

Its not practical, all other comps are segregated for a reason. If its not broke, dont fix it, you wont see chicks bitching because they get more medals and stand a far better chance in a segregated comp.
