Insane impossible? trick

So i think about skiing a lot in class and this trick came to me.

You would start off with just your toe in your binding on one ski, heel not clicked in. go off the jump, start a 360, kick your ski up to your hand, hold it sraight out as you spin, then put it back on as you come down.

impossible?

that would be super hard to start off with your heel not clicked in and have enough speed to go off a big enough jump to do that, and still keep your unclipped ski on your foot. I think you would have to practice clicking in your ski with your hand on the ground first if you could do it at all. You can do it in SSX on Tour all the time, but I don't know how the physics in real life would work out......

if people have a problem with this thats messed up. skiings all about being free and creativity and doing your own thing. that whats so great about it.

haha i love this, the guy who doesnt take anyone seriously unless they have more posts than him. its a dumb idea, but i say because thats what i think, not because he doesnt have a lot of posts.

seriously, shut the fuck up. there are pros on here that don't have many more posts then that so they don't know what skiing is about right?

just cause the kid doesn't sit on here all day like some of us doesn't mean he can't ski dick head.

and to answer your question, i think it would be do-able if it wasn't for starting out. it would be pretty hard to take off and all that stuff with only a toe clicked in. but i think if someone was willing to get broke a few times, it would be do-able.

I think it's a great idea and you should go do it and film it. Can't see the trick ever making it into mainstream skiing, but really, I'm completely serious, if you learn how to do that you'll be my hero.

The best way to practice this would be to put on your boot and try to pick up your ski without being clicked in while standing still. If you can do that, you should be able to pick it up in the air. Next practice like hell clicking in while standing on one leg like a flamingo. If you can quickly raise your ski grab it and then click in on one foot I will be impressed, and if you take it to the air, you will pull at least one sponsor.

You wouldn't be able to balance your heel well enough I think. It would slip out or something and then your leg would die

That is not even funny bindings are way to tight to click them in without stepping in them and there is no way you could have your toe in the binding and not your heel while going off the jump. You can pretty much pull your ski up to your hand anyways so that it is parallel with your body, you don't need to take the ski off.

I think the first part could be doable, but getting your boot back in the binding well enough to land would be incriedibly difficult. How about you go do it and get it on tape and post it up.

what if you put a set of skis on the landing, then when you were in the air did a grab where you grabbed the heel release and took them off, then when u were gonna land just land in the second pair with the other two in your hand ?!?? you cant even do that on ssx

be sick, but yea, pretty much impossible. But ive thought about it in class too, and if you had a boot with a flat metal bottom and a strip of an electromagnet on your ski, and a button behind it that turns off the magnet, so you could easily take it off in the air and just touch it to your boot to put it back on. It'd be insane, and pretty much impossible, but really dope

So how do you explain the hundreds if not thousands of several page long threads containing heated arguments about what skiing is or should be about?

And if you do land that trick I will worship you.

i know lifting your ski up by the toe is possible, i do it all the time. the clicking in part would be difficult.

wow some people are so dumb

i think you should try just not using bindings, just grab some skis and stand on them, imagine the possibilities!

Its a foolish mistake to confuse the number of comments someone has made to a bunch of kids on a website with their ability to ski or comment on the industry of skiing. And at least he was thinking of new tricks instead of practicing the ones on videos which, i have a feeling, is more than many of you haters can say. COME ORIGINAL!!

i got ot go to work. it nine at rearly hohoho like now. holy shit here is the bag. at school in the bag. hey who hs a lighter in the lighter. dude where did take it. i dont want you wher are we going. home.

i once pulled a ski off by accident, held onto it, and landed on one ski and one boot. Wasn't pretty, wasn't fun, but its reason to suspect that removing a ski during a jump has potential for something.
