Hi, I'd like to try rollerblading in park and street, but I was wondering if it's a sport where you get hurt a lot compared to skateboarding or DH mountain biking. Also, what would you recommend me getting that's not very expensive to start off with?

GTFO

But as said above aggressive mall is the shit. They have a giant selection and really good prices. I wish I didn't have a huge fucking wound on my ankle so I could skate. Damn longboard falls suck.

You don't get hurt nearly as much as in DH but skateboarding is pretty similar minus the board wrecking your ankles grab some of the K2 Varsity's or Razor Cults they are both pretty good cheap skate and most importantly have fun

patrick when im done with my shit were skating sometime but ya aggressivemall get razors gen series or trs something are always good to start out with

Skateboarders like to argue that they fall worse, but truthfully, they can bail. If you get caught up on a rail or in the air, you're going down. nothing to bail off of here. But you're not gonna get hurt real bad if you're just starting. I've yet to be hurt really badly and I'm pretty good. Your hands can get scraped up a lot if you use them to fall/ hand tricks and whatnot.

i was always curious to try it but i dont know anyone who does it and im not down to buy a pair just like that so ya

sorry for the grave dig, but, does anyone have any advice for some one who just wants to start?i have been looking at the razor cult 9 or something like that.i have never skated except a bit riding the streets and to get place when i was younger but it looks like fun and i need something new to get into this summer

Cult 9's are definitely a solid pair of skates, they should suit you well. I also recommend using wrist-guards your first few times

i was thinking just using some biking gloves the first like week of riding, also, aggressive mall doesn't have my size in cult so do you think the cult street would be good for me too?

Yeah they're basically the same skate so they should be good, and according to _Ryan_ the code "freesship" will get you free shipping with your order

agreed, just buy some you can afford and make sure they fit like a glove, that most important.

i think I'm going to make my skates so that one has a yellow cuff and black frame, and the other has a black cuff and yellow frame. I already have some yellow frames so I figured I'd do that.

BLACK AND YELLOW.

btw check out rollerwarehouse. i like them better than Amall, and they throw in a LOT of free shit

yo you can get hurt equally to skateboarding, but also the main thing was that you dont have front lean or backward lean like your on skis, you just gotta land perfect every time it a bit hard.

ehhhhhhhhh you really shouldnt, it makes a huge difference. plus a p rail is only like 20 dollars to make, and they are amazingly worth it. theres plenty of tutorials on youtube.

I got razors cult street and I only started to ride them today and I feel a little bit of an irritation sort of feeling on the insides of my ankles. Is this because my liners need to break in?How long does it take for them to break in?Or,should I replace my liners if it keeps up?
