so the other thread i was writing in inspired me to write this one. i have never met anyone with as many ortho surgeries as me or as many broken bones. i guess the point of this thread is to list your major injuries (skiing related or not) and we see whos in the worst shape. also list your age so we have an idea of how long it took to get like that. i'll start:

Dan, age 25

Bones:

2 broken wrists - both skiing

4 broken thumbs - all skiing

1 broken finger

5 broken ribs (one was broken in 2 spots) - 3 due to skiing

4 broken radii (2 injuries, 2 brakes each) - 2 due to skiing

2 broken ulna

1 broken humerus

1 broken jaw - due to skiing

2 broken noses - 1 due to skiing

grand total: 22 bones broken

Surgeries:

1 left meniscus repair (arthro) - occured while running

2 right acl repairs (arthro, one right after 5 months of rehab for the other) - both due to skiing

1 metal plate and six screws in right arm near elbow (because of one of the radius injuries) - due to skiing

1 metal plate and six screws in left arm near shoulder (because of the humerus injury)

grand total: 5 reconstructive surgeries.

Can anyone beat those numbers? I hope not but let us know either way.

1st (?) and No - you are bionic!

Collarbone, fibula.... couple of fingers... and i'm 29....

Broken thumb (lax)5 knocked out teeth (4 lax) (1 biking)2 concussions (1 skiing)
not that bad.

only person that would beat you is Evil Knievel ....
so far my injuries are
Broken wrist (was terribly painfull)
Splintered wrist, with bone sticking out :D (wasn't all that painfull; it happened while BMX riding and i pedaled to the hospital on my own and waited an hour in the ER without too much pain, very weird...)
Broken ankle
2x ruptured ring tendon in my fingers
so nothing quite terrible like you :D

1 concussion & cracked helmet (skiing)

2 black toes (probably going to lose the nail in a week) (skiing, new boots, fulltilts, fucksakes)

2 stitches in forehead (biking)

6 stiches in chin (biking)

I aint got shit on you man much respect

Broken toe

4 Concussions

One bitch ass spider bit my leg and that fucker swelled and blistered - had to go to the ER

Dislocated both hips, both shoulders. If I lift more than 5 pounds my left shoulder pops out, if I lift my left shoulder up over my head my clavicle dislocates.

Broken Wrist

Tooth shot out by arisoft gun

and now here comes the fun stuff

Ruptured esophagus --> week in the hospital, liquid food diet etc...

See: https://www.newschoolers.com/web/forums/readthread/thread_id/442712/

This led my left lung collapsing three times about 10% over the span of 3 months then it fully collapsed.

Surgery --> took a brush and talc powder and scraped my lung so it would scar to the chest cavity so it won't collapse again. Chest tubes suck BTW.

I think I am up to two or three weeks in the hospital and upwards of 30 ER visits

Oooodles of fun.
