Injuries

2 broken collarbones. One catching edge first day with new skis, other one was backy tip catch. Did my wrist when i caught myself falling off a rail. Most recently and worst was trying SW Rodeo 5 and doing misty 630 to ankle break and surgery.

Dislocated a vertebrae in neck, dislocated/subplexated (or whatever its called) elbow, and broken arm. In order of how i got them, lunchtime football, trampoline and fell off a couch when i was young.

Shattered the top of my tibia.... falling over skiing, literally falling over very very slowly

Still can't walk after surgery 5-6 weeks ago

My platoon was pinned down on the beaches, we were taking heavy fire from the western front and I had already cranked out all my ammo. Sitting with not much, demoralized, and our leader gunned down, the 345 platoon was just waiting for someone to take the lead. I stood up, rallied my brothers and we charged up the beach into the line of nonstop deafening gunfire. The boys who made it and I pressed hard against the bottom of a bunker and waited for the right time, I fashioned a molotov from Pvt. Chain's flask and set it ablaze with Pvt. McCoulough's light. Lobbing it into the bunker we waited at the exit for all the congs to come pouring out. Johnson took out the first 3 that came pouring out, but with gun empty I needed to take action. I tackled the cong to the ground and we got in an all out knife brawl, it ended with me using my canteen strap to cut off oxygen flow to his lungs, but not before he took my finger off with that blade of his.

Super nasty concussion. I was hauling ass through the glades at my hill, which I know very well... somehow took a wrong turn and went straight into some thick shit and I got clotheslined by a crooked tree. Cracked my helmet and went out like a light. Nobody saw the accident and I got out of the trees by myself once I woke up. Just layed under the lift until patrol came.

I had a special yellow sheet at school for a couple weeks which exempted me from a lot of tests and shit, that was chill.

Shattered my femur, tibia, fibula, tore my Achilles and damaged my peroneal nerve hitting a tree a few years back. It was tight.

First day of the season I tried a fucking 3 off a knuckle (it had pow on it pretty much) and caught my edge, spinned 270 to the bottom of the landing and hit my head pretty hard to it (glad there was pow in the landing) and i couldnt see properly for a good minute

3 compression fractures mid-spine, no shatter luckily, fell too far backseat on my butt and that one did not feel very nice.

1 sliced open knee from other ski.

1 fully torn off ACL with 1 torn up meniscus, skiing, it was on its way out anyways it's fine, just a boring summer.

I tossed a 4Runner on it's roof and got away clean by a quarter inch of the roof caving in, life is weird sometimes.

I managed to get a small baker's cyst in my knee because I went for an octograb a bit too hard. Apparently I am not a flexible man,

fell off a 18-20ft rock ledge and landed on a log, which made my tibia crunch my talus into something resembling a rice krispie square. had to have bone graft surgery and didn't walk for 10 months.

broken collarbone trying to do a backflip on a sled (not smart, i know).

separated shoulder from playing football

torn ligaments in my wrist and thumb from playing football

sprained my ankle trying to 540 dunk on an 8 foot hoop. Soo much harder than it looks.

Dislocated my ankle a few months back, literally thanking the god of every major religion on a daily basis for this.

once I chipped my tooth racing bmx

been skiing/snowboarding for years without injury... guess I GOTTA SEND IT

I broke my pride a couple of times. Probably the toughest recovery out of any injury I ever had. It comes back to an extent, but never fully.

It was a really difficult time in my life. I'm just happy I've recovered enough to still get out and ski a bit here and there. Be safe guys!

Worst injury of all

Already answered once but once I tried a nosebut 5 and came off early at 450 and my back ski came off and I fell on it, now there is kind of a wide hole thingy in my leg from the edge of my ski, idk it doesnt bother me but it hurts if I press down on it

Luckily so far nothing crazy. I had a subluxation of my shoulder from diving back to second base in baseball all weird like. That sucked.

Fast forward 3 months, some fucker slid into my shin and spiked me with his metal cleats. I didn't even realize it until someone said "holy shit your leg is all gashed open". Probably because it didn't bleed and didn't hurt much. Only needed stitches.

1.5 weeks go by and I'm sweeping the floor at work with a metal push broom. I was pressing down kinda hard in an attempt to pick up any dust to make it look like I was actually working. It snaps, but not fully... Bends... My middle finger slides in the broken crease, and then when the broom straightened out, it cut through my finger like pliers. That fucker was squirting good. Got new stitches and they took my old ones out haha.

I've had many close calls that I'm thankful for being OK and too many bruises and concussions to count. I've almost been T-boned by two separate drivers running red lights (one was in a hot pursuit chase). Now I'm gonna break a bone cuz I'm posting this. Fuck.

Hurt my tailbone pretty bad twice last year at Whistler when I was learning how to hit tubes. The worst thing was eating shit under the chair in the Whistler park and then looking up at 4 dudes just laughing their ass off :(

Broke both Radius and Ulna on a dryslope Poma lift, came off, arm went under mat and it kept pulling my body against my arm until it broke. That needed surgery to line that up again.

I was doing 2s and 4s on to a down tube all day, got confused on one attempt, and ended up with a plate and 9 screws in my clavicle.

-broken wrist when I was 14

-compression fracture in my spine when I was 15

-stalled in the air and landed right on my head when I was 16, resulted in a concussion

I’ve been lucky the past 3 seasons, keeping my fingers crossed

-Broken leg first time skiing when I was 5

-Dude flew into me with a snowboard and sliced through my ski pants into my shin

-Tore ankle ligament off the bone a couple years ago (that fucked me up will never be the same as it can't reattach itsself)

Currently sitting on a knee injury. Landed front seat off a small cliff yesterday and felt a weird pain where my knee and shinbone connect, tried to ski today, literally couldn't put enough pressure on my foot to get my binding to click in and had to stop after 2 shitty runs. Hopefully it's nothing too bad as I can walk fine but I'll get it checked out tomorrow.
