What is everyones most impressive 'war wound' from this season... heres ur chance to brag about it!!

Mine would probably have to be when I took out 3 bamboo's at the last race adn tore all the muscles in my shoulder or when I shifted my shin bone and knee cap... although I didnt get that from skiing directly...but the weakened liagments that allowed it to shift is a result of skiing..

The worst was me falling on my first few attempts at a 720 and breaking my skis and really messing up my knee.

All this happened in one wreck. I was tryin a flare with a kickout off a table top. I landed 2 so we busted out the video camera. I fucked up somewhere, and kicked out 2 legs. Since i had the DIN settings so high on my ski, they didn't release so they ripped outa my ski. The final injuries were a bruised rib, pulled or torn groin ( still hurts, and made me not able to ski at all for a month) and i sprained my wrist. The sad thing was, i was so on that day / night. I was sticking everything. Well, i fell, and im still feeling the aftermath. injuries suck, but pain is temporary, glory is forever i guess.

serious head trauma.... causing 9 day headache and the use of mutilpe tylenol 3's... back crash that didnt let me walk properly for over a month... yupp gotta love being me.

Nothin serious but I leaned way too far back on a rail and fell four feet to the icy snow on my hip. It was bruised and hurt for a week or two.

THATS IT ZOLTYI???? For the entire season??? seriously, I do falls 3 times worse than that atleast 3 times a day. I say if your not crashing your not trying hard enough.

I came flyin into the big rainbow at blue mountain. there wasn't much of a jump upto the rail so I turned too late and almost nutted myself. so I slid along the rail on my thigh. as I started to fall off of the rail my right leg went under the rail and it hit one of the croos pieces that hold the rail up on the outside of my thigh. then I fell 6-7 feet down onto my back. my ski on my right leg ended up flying about 20ft away and I couldn't even come close to walking for about a day and a half.

Take it easy Detective. I only went seven times this year and only four times at a mountain that actually had a park. I am proud of you though.

really bad whip lash and minor concussion from fucking up when landing switch, my neck hurts still and shinbang is still kickin around

Just about decapitated myself when I skied neck first into a rope. Not something you want to brag about.

first day out i landed a front real hard on my lower back...deep bone and tissue bruse, couldent walk right or ski for a few weeks...mid season i got apendasitis and got my apendix out...not realy skiing related but i was out for a month or so...and then the last day of the season i landed in a big rut in the landing of a table at my mountain, fell backwards and rolled over my sholder and dislocated it. it was real far out and i couldent get it back in, like when i dislocated my other shoulder last season, so i had to go to the hospital. it was so busy that it was about 4 hours before the actualy put it back in, and those were 4 of the most painful hours of my life, they wouldent give me anything for the pain. they wanted to cut off my NS hoodie because they thought it was broken, but i wouldent let them :-D so they ended up giving me very powerful pain meds and muscle relaxents to get it back in. i just got the xrays back, it was like 5 inches out of socket, lol. its still not right tho...i dont have a full range of motion and i have to do exercizes twice a day and go to phisical therapy 2 days a week. phisical therapy sucks.

i got lucky this year, only got one semi-injury... ate shit on a double kink rail and landed on my hip on the corner of the first kink... than over the next two weeks proceded to crash on that same hip every day on rails, pipe, and tables... got to the point where i couldn't walk, sit down, or stand without it hurting - my leg was black/purple/blue/red/yellow, it was the worst bruse i've ever seen. eventually had to take a week and a half or so off, but that's not too bad.

Ski Boot Problems: I got the worst growth on my little toe. It made my little toe look like my big toe. I could barly walk in shoes. Every time I put my ski boots on and off I'd have to shed atleast one tear. I could barly where shoes. Finally the frik'n thing fell off and left a crater like hole in my toe. That crater hole stayed for a long time. Then finally the walls started to fall off (the outer wall sking) and puss stop coming out. Now it's just a little bump nothing to wine about. But just so you all know. If you ever have problems with your feet get it fixed right away otherwise you'll have long term problems.

 
compressed my sternum an inch inwards...it's only rebounded about a half ince..

...and i cracked my jaw with my pole grip...and i broke a rip on a rail...and i tore cartiledge in my sternum early in the season.

I got a concussion the first day at whistler and ruined my whole trip, i started going straigh at the bottom of jersey cream wall or something and apparently hit a chunk of ice, i dont remember how i got to whistler or the week before that, but a day after my concussion is when my memory starts. And i bruised some ribs on a misty 7, i couldnt breathe straight for a day or 2 so i was lucky this year

severed my acl mcl and tore my cartiledge in my knee... i have a huge scar across my knee from where they had to opperate

 
i was doing a rail in feburary so much and falling so much on my leg that i couldnt walk on it well for a few days,

last day of the season, last sunday, did a corked 540 shoulder plant and broke my collarbone skiing with andy, adam and MC. at least it was the last day though

gretegirl, I feel your pain. I have an extra toe coming out of the top of my foot! Its still there tho, no puss or anything yet!

but ya I'm sittin here with a hugely spraigned ankle from playing basketball last night. It's so swollen. first day I bring out the basketball net I hurt myself. new I should have sold it for a trampoline.

Today I overshot a landing and had some good air..my big toe is fucked and tomorrow instead of skiing I have to get my toenail ripped off...sucks and hurts like hell

My first time on this big trapazoid rail I got too much speed and got airbourn on the first kink and when I landed on the flat part I hit an edge and hit my face and my whole body...then fell five feet to ground. Not really bad but a huge straight bruise up my whole right side (a purple rail imprint) and smashed up my face a little.

ummm besides my stupid ACL (by the way, i have edema on my shin below my knee, and if you press your fingers into the shin, the fingerprints stay for like 10 minutes and then bruise) which put me out til august, my worst or best looking injury was when i tried a lincoln loop on a jump i had never ever hit before, didnt get all the way around, landed like grip of the pole against my cheek, broke the pole.. yeah nice fatty bruise and fat lip.. mmmm

Tipped the triangular bone at the base if the spine and it was throwing my whole alignment off.

Im with the boot-fitting guys. I just got sick of having them worked on so I kept skiing.

Now my left achilles tendon has a lump of hard tissue and fluid the size of a quater around it and it grinds when I move it, also my right ankle bone has been ground down on the outside - hurts like fuck.

Boot fit is important ...

i never really messed myself up.

skiers thumb almost every time i went up, and my switch 3 attempt hurt. falling from 10 feet up straight onto your poles thats sticking right into your chest hurts.

i badly bruised my tailbone on a hilariously pathetic attempt at a 360 and landed with my ski between my cheeks..if u know that i mean..
