Injuries and how you got them

Pretty bored right now so I was just wondering what are some of the worst injuries you guys have had and how they happened.

I'll start even though my injuries are pretty minor. I have broken 3 toes(big one, second biggest, and second smallest) one of which has been broken twice(the big one). Three of the four times I broke my toes were from soccer and the other time I was skimboarding and broke my toe after I fell into the ocean.

Fell 25 feet flat onto my chest with my hand on my stomach.... tore my solar plexus. Couldn't move without wrenching in pain for a solid month.

5 concussions, broken foot.2 concussions skiing2 from school(a kid sucker punched me, and the other one i ran full speed ahead into a basket ball post)1 from bikingbroken foot from skateboarding

i hurt my back quite a bit. usually only out for a week or two, but one time i injured a disc and i was out for a couple months.last fall i messed up my ankle running. planterpheshyitis or something from wearing skate shoes after practice.

3 bruised back vertebrae: dropped a cornice and landed a bit too much forward, my tips dug in the snow and i flew headfirst into the snow, i scorpioned and over-stretched my back, my tails actually tapped my helmet ....
broken ankle: got drunk and did a 360 off a flight of stairs and twisted my ankle on the concrete floor (bystanders said they heard the sound of snapping wood; my ankle)
3x broken left forearm1) fell off a tramponline as a kid2) fell off a swingset3) fell while BMXing.... (it still hurts when i need to make a strong twisting motion with my left arm)
bad roadrash while longboardingdecided it was a tight idea to hang onto a car while longboarding, around the 60kph mark (around 40mph?) i got speedwobble and bailed, (i was hanging onto the passenger door, so i got lucky i didn't end up under the rear wheels)
the entire left side of my face was scraped off and my knee was scraped to the bone :)

and broken sternum from falling out of a tree :)this one was actually the scariest/worst because i also got a collapsed lung (which went away automatically) but the broken sternum was by far the most painful, especially since at that time i also had a pretty bad cold and wouldn't stop coughing :)

fucked my arm up for life biking

broke collar bone in track haha

several concussions, broken wrist lots of broken toes biking

tore acilles tendon (soccer), dislocated both shoulders at once. (biking) broke femur (biking) and popped a blood vessle too close to my cock.

Few broken wrists, concussion, dislocated shoulder 5 times (now its looser than brittany spears,,,well you know) few broken fingers. mostly from skiing. I must suck

perforated my small intestine, i went off a jump and there was a snowboarded sitting in the landing. my stomach met his helmet.

109 stitches total, 101 in my leg from a hedge trimmer, 6 in my knee when i hit it on a rock swimming, 2 in my elbow when i crashed my mountain bike. nothing else major, other than minor concussions all from skiing.

4 concussions

1 from flying out of a golf cart and hitting a tree, 1 from soccer and 2 from skiing

then i've had lots of injuries that didn't involve any broken bones that i don't even want to get into

Jesus, you should probably stop going outside and wear a helmet while reading/watching tv. You have had enough concussions that you deserve your own "Reggie Ray concussions to go" style section on a scoreboard.

i was young and we were taking golf lessons. we filled a golfcart with too many people, i was sitting on the front part outside of the actual seating area but holding onto one of the poles that attaches to the cart and holds up the hood part. anyways, crazy girl driving didn't know how to drive and she rammed into a tree and i couldn't hold on and i flew and hit the tree headfirst. reallllly weird incident but it was bad i puked and shit, at least it felt bad for how young i was ha

3-4 concussions...im still unsure about that number..

Dislocated knee with destroyed ligaments and tendens that still likes to pop out on occasion

Slipped on snow covered ground with ice under the snow. Snow was covering a garden rake with the prongs facing up. Impaled my knee on the rake and then spent two weeks in hospital. The original Dr I saw basically put a bandage on it and sent me back home. Turns out there was a bit more to it than that haha

3 concussions.

first one: overshot a 25 foot jump landed switch exploded backwards and whip lashed my neck back and hit the back of my head on some ice.... broke my helmet. first degree concussion

second one: rodeo 450 to tip dig in to forehead to hard pack snow... first degree concussion.

third one: hit a steep down urban rail, stairs on right small drop on left. didn't get over rail enough popped onto stairs. balance was off backied stairs but hit the back of my head right under where my helmet stops. thought i was fine. finished rail NBD. this all happened at 2 am

next morning at whaleback at 11 am. 450 attempt out of down rail do a 360 hit back of head again. feel like shit go home throw up go to doctors get cat scan say i hit my head twice. i could of died due to second hit syndrome. 3rd degree concussion out of skiing for 3 weeks. couldn't hit anything for 4 weeks. no jumps until 5. all in 1 winter. and now i have post concussion syndrome. and it sucks.

what symptoms are you experiencing?

2 concussions first one was two years ago. i was skateboarding, set up a sketchy homemade wooden jump up to my element metal flat bar. long story short, after a couple hits, i set it up right against the rail so i could do some ride-on 50-50s lol. jump collapsed the second my wheels hit it, launched me forward and smacked my head right onto the metal rail. took nearly two months to fully recover from it.
and my second concussion occurred this march. i was doing some spring skiing on a slushy day. i was skiing switch, caught an edge, and went straight back onto my head. pretty much fully recovered from that, took like 5 or 6 weeks though.
last ski season i broke two bones in my hand, my pinky, and two knuckles during a ski race. my ski clipped a gate and i ejected and went straight forward
had a couple other broken fingers/toes but those are the most serious injuries ive had

Tore/stretched just about everything in my shoulder from skiing...surgery barely helped, so it still likes popping out whenever I try to do anything fun.

concussion from skiing.

concussion from football

broken wrist from football

huge deep bruise on my leg from skiing (this thing was giant, like 5 inches wide, it was purple, green, brown, white. nasty)

lost a fingernail when i was like 3 from slamming my finger in a door

cut my head open and needed stiches like 4 times from various slams to the head (best one was when i was about 4 and i was chasing my grandpas imaginary dog Fido around the house and turned a tight corner and smashed my head against the corner of the fridge. i got like 10 stiches, haha good times)

almost lost an eye

I was playing soccer, tried to get the ball with my head, hit the head of another player instead, right above my eye. I couldn't see anything and was dizzy as fuck. I got a concussion.

The worst part, some blood got jammed between my eye and my eyebrow. The weight of it made my eye go down a bit. Like lower than my other one. My vision was fucked since my eyes weren't on the same level. I had to wear an eyepatch for a month. Fortunately, the blood went away and my eye got to his spot.

It was disgusting, I had a massive black eye, looked so dumb. I wish I would have take at least a picture of it but I didn't want to at that time :/

haha yeah I've done this as well

I've also had:

-multiple concussions from lacrosse and hockey

-separated shoulder from hockey

-broken jaw/lost a tooth on the trampoline last summer, may have to have 3 or 4 more removed soon.

-a few broken hands and thumbs

almost no injuries from skiing though haha, mostly hockey and lacrosse.

i tried to jump from my couch to my table when i was five. ended up splitting the skin open on my neck when i fell halfway through my jump. had a couple of staples inn my head to repair it,
