Ingrown toenails in ski boots

Hey guys, I am a pretty hefty boy suffering from chronic ingrown toenails. I am in the process of getting them removed and then permenantly removed, but this is going to take upwards of 6 months and I don't want to do anything that will put me out of skiing for too long, any prevention tips until then, as of right now I am trying to change my skiing style to lean foward more but with learning new tricks I find myself landing more backseat and ramming my toes. Anything is appreciated.

I have had them cut out 6 tines throughout the last month or 2 but they keep bothering me. I cannot get full tilts, my fat ass feet are too wide

Damn man that fucking sucks. It sounds like you will eventually get them fixed. Did you know if you take tylenol and advil together it works better? Maybe just pop a mix baggie of those in your jacket and take a few every 4-6 hours.

I've dealt with this a ton, instead of getting them removed try to just have your doctor cut your nail all the way back. They do that and then put some stuff on the area so the nail doesn't grow back. If its the same procedure 6 months is bullshit. I skied the next day. Only issue is your toe will be gross for a while and it will be bloody for a little while. I just used lots of bandaids.

Bottom line get it done as soon as possible ingrown toenails are the worst pain I've had skiing.

I have talked to my doctor about this. The only problem is that I have to do it when my toe is not already in pain or swollen. I will try that advill tylenol concotion untill I at the very least get the remaining ones cut out.

Stuff a mix of cotton ball and neosporine in between your nail and skin where the ingrown toenail occurs it should stop it or prevent it most of the time just refresh the stuff everyday so it doesn’t get nasty. Or go to the store and get ingrown toenail remover kit and put some of that gel on the nail and it will make it soft so you can easily cut it out or make it hurt less.
