(searchbar-ed and nearest thread was from 2004 so I think things might be different now)

So I was listening to the radio this morning and the hosts were talking about this site called Spokeo.com and other such sites that buy and sell your personal information. It's kind of disheartening with how much information they have of you all the way down to street side pictures of your house, income, and family.

I had a friend have identity theft because of information brokering sites. Her credit score plummeted and a bunch of other shit.

Has anyone had negative effects from these sites?

Fuck that weak shit, the most recent ones I've been getting are from Staff Seargent Joe Blow who discovered an oil drum full of money in iraq. All I need to to is give him my address and little info and he'll ship it to me for safe keeping :)
