Yeah guys, got a few things:
- This thread isn't about ignorant youngsters, it's about the stuborness of youth. They are not willing to accept anyone elses views unless they respect them. The problem is when you're young, respect comes in the form of who can do the craziest most irresponsible thing? Cool = Respect. Irresponsibility = Cool. Respect = Irresponsibility.
Who can jump off the highest shit spinning the most, flipping the most. These are the people who are respected, they dictate what our youth will learn. They dictate what our youth will and will not accept as a personal belief system.
That's what this thread is about.
You're not the first one to tell me I shouldn't care about showing people the light, to stop trying to save the world.
That's called giving up and Ill do it when Im dead.
Word of mouth is the best form of communication...always will (should) be. Anyone and everyone that enters my 360, my universe becomes not only an option for communication, but an oppertunity to spread your word. If you have something to say, IT IS YOUR OBLIGATION TO YOURSELF to say it. Get feedback. Be an individual. If you think something, talk about it until you find something better.
2 years ago I was a blissful ignoarmus. But I was smart enough not to resist change. The more I saw, the more I changed.
There is a new universe around you every second, always explore your 360, look up, down, behind you, beside you, and then do it again, this is how you learn.
You CAN change the people around you, and you know what?
THEY WANT TO BE CHANGED.
That's what I've discovered, contrary to popular belief, trying to change people can be a valuable and rewarding experience, for both parties. Everyone can, does, and should change. It's healthy.
Sinister, that's exactly what I mean. They learn a few things about the war, and then yells it to everyone who'se in their universe, and using powerful, one sided words like FUck.
Itsbackfliptime: Conformity ain't so bad. Thats a good, one, I'll remember that.
All I expect people to do is to keep learning and growing, never turn your brain off, never stop thinking.
misterbinz, Yeah, I realize that people choose to live certain ways. I beleive you can combine many different ways to live. You can do one at a time, or try and juggle them.
If you choose one way to live, thats fine, but they are missing so, so, so much.
That relates to my theory of day-to-day living.
There's four main ways to live in modern society: day-to-day, week-to-week, month-to-month, and finally, usually the most depressing, year-to-year living.
Day-to-day is summer, the endless beautiful summer, full of fun, adventure and life.
Week to week living is high school, living weekend to weekend, getting paid every 2 weeks, getting loaded and doind tests.
You can survive in college with week-to-week, but to do well, you have to switch to month-to-month living. Have to pay rent, cable, water, electricity, heating, visa - all paid once a month. Month to month living is hard, time starts to lose meaning, stretching out forever and racing by at the same time.
Finally, year to year. You have a career. you have a car, a house, a morgage, and kids. You now have to live year to year for your security. This becomes very tiring and depressing. No wonder people have Mid-Life crisis. They realize all the shit they wanted to do with their life, they haven't done. Now they have the money, they're gonna do that One greatest thing they dreamed about their whole lives, they're going to climb everest.
This is where my career lies. It lies in taking them up those mountains, and taking their money.
I get to climb mountains, and I get lots of money. Works for me
The trouble I have is living day to day IN a college setting.
And combined with the copious amounts of dope I smoke (im high right now) It doesn't help with success in school.
Good thing im smart and can write well.
I used to hate writing. I love it now. Im a changed man. Writing is one of the greatest things you can do. Highly recommended.
If you're still reading, Im horoured. Really, for you to stay on my train that long, and to hear what I have to say, that is the highest honor you can give me. Thanks.
or something like that.
Activism without chaos? or Chaos without activism?
