Check out these pics - this is my local 'hill'. Its in Milton Keynes, near London, UK. There are two slopes, each about 150m long, one side has a small park, with multiple rails, small kicker and the largish hit you can see here. I suppose it keeps me going until I can get to Europe for the winter and some real snow!

nice little park,here in germany we also have some indoor parks but they're also very little and they're only there in summer...but it's better than doing nothing in summer...but they are 440km away...so i can also go to switzerland and ski there...

Damn I wish we had something like that close to me. That would be nice. Even if if wasn't a great park, its better than not skiing all summer.

 
Its not too bad, but fuckin expensive - about £20 per hour, much more than a lift ticket for proper mountains in france - but easier to get to!

accually they have been planning something like that for awhile now. disneyworld/land was planning on building an indoor ski hill awhile back( i forgot what it was called) but the whole thing was scraped because of money issues or something. then los vegas was going to build one but they stopped planning too. now i beleave they are working on one in LA or someplace in Cali for pros to train all summer for like racing, arials, freestyle but mostley for olympic trainers. i havent heard to much about it but i think there is a website on it somewhere. this was all in popular science a few mounths ago

 
This might sound like shit, but im proper serious. Over here, Wales i think, they are planning on building an indoor slope like MK, but it will basically be a gigantic REVOLVING slope, so basically you could ride it without stopping for as long as trhe revolving mechanism is switched on. No shitting man. Dont think like small scale, apparently it will be big enough for a park etc. Now thats what i call off-season training!

 
yeah thats what i was talking about. they had a whole write up about it and thats what disney world was trying to do. damn that would be so sweet

 
How could you have a park, for the rails and stuff to be sturdy it would ahve to go around a wheel? or does it rotate like a circle?

Yeah, we're getting a snowdome in Glasgow sometime too. It was first mentioned about two years ago, and supposedly construction is starting at the end of the year, with it opening in 2005. No doubt they'll be more setbacks though and it will open 2006 at the earliest. By which time I'll be doing seasons in Esurope (hopefully) :( .

Its a bit belated - but fuck you ! :) The rugby was a once off and you know it!! Aussie are world champs at rugby and whooped your arse last time(s) round. And the snow prolly melted outside because we have awesome beaches and plenty of sun. If you guys tried to build that outside all the rain would prolly melt it away

i'm not quite getting it. there has to be some more reason to this whole 'outdoor' park. i mean why would anyone build a summer ski park outside in ausi. something just doesnt seem real about it

 
we seriously need that on the east coast... the US sucks this time of yeari want to ski sooo bad... wait, anyone heard of snowflex? i heard its this stuff u can ski on in the summer, anyway its summer over here in jersey and i need to hit a frakin rail... can anyone tell me where i can find it or how much it is or something

still doesn't seem so smart to me...u would have to be going at a certian speed to keep going, to fast and u will end up at the bottom, too slow and u will end up going right around (backwards). just doesn't seem overly smart to me

if i was managing one of those i'd just put up mad amounts of rails, all sorts of variations and shit.

make it half snowboard/ski/whatever, half skate park.

it'd be nuts and very progressive.

All I have found on the internet is articles stating that it plans on opening in 2003.
