for those of you that dont know already, Dirk Lance, real name Eric Strovostky (spelling) has left incubus due to 'creative differences'

some ppl say its sucks some people say it will change the band but i really dont think it will, he was an amazing bassist so talented , but they are picking up a guitarist from the Roots, and who doesnt like the Roots, lol, so we'll just have to see how their enxt album is

if you hate incubus dont bother messaging me to let me know, cause i dont care

cd is in the works, dirk left hte band a while ago but they didnt announce it until they were sure ben was gonna play for them, and tour this summer or fall i think

im pretty sure they wouldnt grab a guitarist to play bass......

the roots just got there guitarist for the last album, and i know they wouldnt get rid of there bassist... so i dont know..

actually it is very logical to have a guitarist play bass. Guitarists usally make really good bassists because they have developed the finger strength and speed from guitar. Also bass is the same thing as guitar just a couple ovtaves lower so you dont have to learn any new music theory or learn a whole new instrument.

Incubus is a really good band, I just htink that their old stuff was better. In my opinion, drive was one of there worse songs and it got so damn popular, like every 5 mins on the radio. Lets just hope that their new cd will be good.

 
there is honestly nothing of theirs that I dislike, that I've heard so far. drive is what attracted me to them. without that song I would never have bought any of their stuff, even though drive is totally different from the rest of their stuff

Yea, drive is really different from a lot of their stuff, and its the song that everyone liked. Unless the new bassist is gonna really change the band, idont think they will ever have a song that popular again. My favorite CD from them is make yourself, and pardon me and some of the other songs on there are good

 
well ive liked every cd they ever made, including their tracks from fungus and enjoy, funk style

but i think they are progressing musically alot and i wouldnt doubt a song to be as popular as drive to come out on their new cd
