shows youve been to that were gah gah great? for me..

1) tokyo ska paradise orchestra. i dont even listen to a whole lot of ska anymore but something about a dozen well dressed, matching incredibly talented asian guys playing horns crazily, spinning around, etc. makes me wanna do anything to see them again.

2) animal collective. im not even really sure what happened but it was amazing

3) ted leo+pharmacists or spoon. not the most energetic shows but just so well played. better than cd quality.

4) leftover crack- uh... yyyyyeah, this one was energetic

Dave Matthews Band and Bela Fleck and the flecktones. They jammed on #41 for 25 minutes or so, both bands on stage. So sick.

Nintendo fusion with Fall Out Boy, Boys night out, panic at the disco, Starting line and MOTION CITY SOUNDTRACK MidWest Representin

some of the AFI shows were really fun.. lagwagon 7 or 8 years ago...

But the best show I've ever been to was Harry Connick Jr.

Id say Motion city soundtrack, and graditude were had my favorite live preformances. Story of the Year also puts on a pretty good live show.

was that the one in saratoga? i wanted to go sooo bad that day but i had to work...lucky you

incubus, DMB, OAR, jack johnson and dropkick murphys always kick a good show... those are just particular shows ive been to and had a blast

the lovemakers is the best show in music

the rolling stones were pretty dope

i saw franz that was a good show too

Jack Johnson, G.Love, and Donavon frankenrieter. Soo sick. And Robert randolph with government mule. Both incrediible.

DFA 1979 w conroller controller and sylvie

The Ardade Fire w Wolf Parade w the Belle Orcheste

The edmonton Folk fest 2 years running.

i can't even remember how many times i've seen them in concert. One of, if not the best live bands period. I took a friend who doesn't even like them to one of their concerts, and after he was like "damn, not exactly my choice in music, but they put on the best show i've ever seen..."

well alot of people have been saying jack johnson and DMB... I went to jack johnson at the Gorge... veryyyyy good live!!!

My favorite has been VAN HALEN! But I did see Motley Crue a few months ago and they put on the best show I've ever seen, bar none. So it's kind of a draw between the two, but I think Van Halen was better because, well, it's Van Halen, and their music is just amazing.

1. KISS and aerosmith. KISS was much better on stage than smith.

2.chicago and earth, wind and fire. chicago put on a better show than earth.

3.pat metheny group. most relaxing concert i've ever been to.

4. U2. triple encore, and played mostly their old stuff instead of this vertigo bullshit.

The prodigy, in cardiff, the light show blew my mind, and the prodigy, they just make you want to bang your head. the outfits were cool, the atmosphere in the venue was amazing, and I was fucked. I think it was 2 weeks tonight actually.

pearl jam at the gorge was the best thing i have ever been to. they are rediculous live. they played 3 and a half hours with no opener.

Pearl Jam has the unique ability to make a stadium seem intimate.

NIN put on an amazing live show aswell. the light show!!! oh the light show. crazy tetris blocks moving around behind them, physically moving each on their own. the usual lights strobs etc, a big ass curtain that comes down in front so they can play this wicked sweet movie while the band plays in the background just slightly visible as ghosts. I could go on and on, but yeaeh

radioclash has got to be the best name on this forum.

matisyahu was really impressive

gogal bordello was nearly overwelming. kick ass.

murder by death is always amazing

avett brother play some hellishly rocking blue-grass

dead prez was a good hip hop show

throwrag and strung out are both good mainstays of pop-punk

the bronx and rise against are good shit

flogging molly is fun if you like moshing

the mars volta- started the show off by saying "alright you fuckers" and went into the most craziest drug induced jam i could imagine. it was 3 hours of only playing 3 songs. they are awesome at improvised jams, it flows so well.

that shit would annoy me.... ADD owns me. i'd probably get bored and drink myself to death or start a fight, not that thats all that unusual.

speaking of drug binges... last time murder by death came to town, they were passing around a handle of whiskey backstage. the singer to a swig of a solid 1-2" off of the bastard, then immediatly walked to the bar and a ordered a whiskey. a double at that. i was highly impressed. then he went on stage and amazed everyone.

i've seen them a few times. they really can't hold my attention once they start "jamming". its good stuff, i just can't pay attention that long. it seems to drag on and on. i'd rather hear more songs and less jamming. if i still smoked pot, i'd be way into it. if i am at a concert, there is like 90% chance i am completely out of my mind drunk. i'd probably appreciate it more sober.

haha, yeah, its awesome when bands drink hard alcohol instead of just beer or something. reminds me of the time i saw the mountain goats in, basically the attic of the house of blues in new orleans. I'f youre not farmiliar with them, theyre two guys playing really mellow folk-rock type music, not the kind youd associate with being drunk at all, but i guess as appreciation for playing such a small, cheap show, after every song or two random people from the crowd would just bring them drinks. cant even count how many they eventually had, and you can tell it was getting to them, but didnt mess em up too much, hah. and thanks for the name comment, haha ;)

and completely unrelated , but i didnt want to make a topic for it... i uploaded a profile image and it shows up in my profile thing but i have yet to see it appear on the message board, anyone know what could be wrong? thanks

think for myself

but wouldnt it be so much easier just to let AP and Fuse tell me what music to listen to

i saw ben fold's play about a month ago, and thought it was one of the best concerts i have ever been to, seen, or heard.

that dave show was total crap. it was fun, but not a good concert for dave. the ninteenth was better. and coldplay was really good but i get in a mess with the cops sorta. wasnt good..

other good concerts

atmosphere

roots with j5

phish

umphrey's

australian pink floyd

hieroglyphics

living legends

just saw !!!. ive never seen a dance show with so much stage diving. people were going crazy, i cant even count the girls who went up on stage and started flippin out/ boobs poppin out. crazy guys who went up and would dance for a second then jump as far into the crowd as possible to avoid getting security gaurd'ed. highlight was def the awesome black kid who went up and started c-walking for a good 2 minutes.
